With 54 percent of precincts in Georgia's 6th congressional district reporting, Democrat Jon Ossoff has 50 percent of the vote, followed by Republican Karen Handel with 18 percent and Republican Judson Hill with 10 percent. This special election is being held to fill the seat left vacant earlier this year by Republican Tom Price, who became the secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. The district covers areas of metro Atlanta, a conservative stronghold that was barely won by Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election. There are 18 candidates in the race, and if one does not receive a majority of votes, a runoff election will be held in June between the top two finishers.
Thus guy looks like Anthony Weiner.
The democrats blew their cash trying to avoid a runoff... But Handel will defeat the liberal pajama boy in the next round... when it counts.
It’d be funny as hell if he missed 50% by 1 vote, considering he can’t vote for himself.
...How did the democrat manage to get 50% in a conservative district?...
George Soros.
The Georgia Republican party must have a large stock of participation ribbons.
Yes because the precincts that haven’t been counted are heavily GOP. He started the night at 562.
He will drop below fifty by the end of the might
Wait till the end of the evening
Plus this district is not as conservative as it once was
This while thing has been blown way out of proportion.
It is in DeKalb and Fulton Counties and Cobb. Republicans ran 17 people. Dude will get less than 50% of the vote even so.
Maybe Ronna Romney will somehow find her tongue and SPEAK UP about the wisdom of having so many candidates spliting the GOP vote. She is, after all the RNC Chair. Very low profile.
I have seen less of her than I used to see of Reince.

Even the NYT admits Ossoff won't come close to 50%.
Ossoff at 50.3% with 55k in Fulton County left. Our guess he gets 45%; needs 49. Seems small, but very hard.
+ 100000
Conspiracy? Sounds more like normal business.
1) many northerners voted their own states uninhabitable, left, but never made the intellectual connection, and now vote the same way here.
They do that all over the country. They wreck one place, can’t figure out why they no longer like it there, and go on to another place and repeat it.
Thats my guess...but would be nice uf the article would be explicit.
Was not very impressed with her appearance on Lou Dobbs’ Show Tuesday night.
She said that she had (only) visited 15 states since taking over as RNC Chair.
And, I am very skeptical of her intentions, considering the fact that she’s Mittens’ niece.
Ossoff oddly tries to sound EXACTLY like Barack Obama. “From Georgia”...but has identical accent and speaking manner of Barry. Truly bizarre attempt at neuro-linguistic programming.
Yeah, it wasn’t long ago that they’d declare a recount if the Dem only got 47% and steal it in the re-re-recount.
This guy sounds like an out of state yankee and looks like Anthony Weiner.
