Wasn’t the Cal State system free like 40 or 50 years ago until they figured out they couldn’t make money without charging eleventy billion dollars?

I bet she’s got her money well-sheltered and won’t contribute a dime to anyone’s education.

Why don't these socialists just admit that everyone should have all things free? Hell, the government has the money. Oh wait, the government doesn't produce anything. All free stuff is on the tax-payers' dime:
Free access to our country for those who cross our borders illegally or over-stay visas;
Free access as long if called refugees;
Free legal for the above;
Free healthcare;
Free welfare, food stamps, housing;
Free stipends;
Free of fed and state income taxes;
Free phones;
Free Internet;
And on it goes...
Socialists are insane. I'm amazed every day how the socialist nations of Scandinavia don't see why they are failing. Then there is Germany, France, and the UK. It's become increasingly apparent that western Europe has some kinda death wish for reasons unknown.

It isn’t free - they’re just shifting how it’s paid for.
And we already know that more money doesn’t necessarily mean a better education.

So that means that all New Yorkers can go to college for free? No?
Who gets to go and who gets rejected?

Like most government freebies, it will distort the market, bring under government control yet another key component of a free, civil-society, and of course, highly politicize and corrupt yet another sector of society
It will simply destroy most private colleges, particularly the smaller ones, except for the most wealthy schools, like they Ivy Leagues

The plan has a hundred thousand dollar cap eligibility. If your family makes more than that, you get NOTHING. NO SOUP FOR YOU!
In NY, that means the middle class is F’cked.
