I would say that rather than caring about being right, the Democrats are suffering from cognitive dissonance that comes from avoiding accepting how wrong they are. They are so certain that they are right they demand that the world change to fit their preconceived notions, rather than changing their thinking to adjust it to the real world.

Notice that Emanuel is assuming that Democrats are “right” - whatever the Hell that is supposed to mean - but need to hide their true beliefs in order to succeed politically. We’ve just had eight years of taqiyya. How’d that work out for you?
