It is a rather small issue. The dishonesty of the media regarding crowd sizes is well established. There are many more pressing things to talk about.
Trump’s running circles around them.

My daughter taped it.
I saw it reported somewhere that the tallies of the 5 largest livestream came to 21 million.
” First, this is unprovable, because no one knows how many people were viewing this on a non-TV screen—Facebook, a phone, iPads, etc. Any REASONABLE person would assume that with the 31 million confirmed watching on TV, and the million present at the event, at last 10 million more watched on alternative media, this was easily the most watched inauguration ever. Of course, the drivebys/fake news media are not reasonable.”
Actually, we can know EXACTLY how many people were watching it with these methods.
Those figures, however, will be given out by Youtube, Google and MSN/Bing. They will be given to the AP and Reuters,
And you can clearly see where data goes to die.
CNN’s Jeff “There’s a Zucker Born Every Minute” Zucker threatened Trump by saying Trump isn’t aware that only one English language news channel is available throughout the rest of the world and it is “us”.
Ignoring for the moment the huge explosion in internet access and alternate media, Zucker’s words could be seen to say “If you don’t stop calling out our lies, we’re going to keep lying for Putin, China, Japan, Iran, etc. and all the world to hear.”
In other words, truth is not as important to a news channel president as spinning events to characterize Trump as Hitler, Stalin, etc. Got that? Is getting back at Trump worth further discrediting themselves over? I guess so, to hear Zucker speak.
Wonder when the press will realize they are part of the swamp Trump promised to drain.
Rule of thumb, if the media is reporting a negative story on Trump (when are they ever positive ?), it’s a lie until proven otherwise.
Exactly right, every small lie called out. After a year or so, they will realize that there’s no point to lying - it just makes them look stupid. Broken window is a great example, also tagging. Combat every instance.
This is excellent analysis. Thanks for posting.
Someone on Fox said it was something Trump’s people focused on to dilute media attention on the women’s march.
“The “Broken Window” form of law enforcement works on journalists.”
Good analogy.

Keep the press occupied on the inane bs while the real dealing is done.
It comes down to: the media is his most determined and voracious enemy now, just as they were in his campaign.
Trump defeated the Democrats, but not the media.
The lying media won’t stop until they look at their declining revenues and say: “Enough!”.
Trump’s objective is to drive down their total audiences to the point that the media are losing money overall even though they cater to the Democrat-favorable marketing demographics that their advertisers pay more for.
In my lifetime, I haven't seen a politician use strategy like a war general. Never. And since our Generals have been muzzled for so long, we have forgotten what Generals think like.
It takes a historian, such as yourself, to draw comparisons from American war history to educate us. The press is even worse off than the average American. They've been steeped in a one-sided educational system and answered to bosses who required one-sided reporting.
The years ahead will be very interesting. I watched Spicer’s entire press conference just to refuel after the long national nightmare.
The Westerner
Trump does not give in or give up.
The pundit class should never run for office. They always are telling Trump what he should or should not do. If he did it their way, Hillary would be _resident!
It hasn’t dawned on them yet that Trump won against all odds.
I watched the inauguration streaming and I NEVER watch those stupid dog and pony shows.
