In the event that you've been wondering what former Florida governor and GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush has planned for the future, you can rest easy now knowing that it — probably — won't involve running for office again.

The Associated Press reports that Bush has joined The Foundation for Excellence in Education, an organization he founded to focus on pushing for “changes in education policy that often drawn opposition from teacher unions and Democrats.” Of his loss in the GOP race, Bush is quoted as saying:

“I just think this was my chance. The conditions of this election weren't tailor made for me and I lost. But I'm not in therapy. I'm not in the fetal position. Life goes on.”

And when asked if he would consider running for governor again, he responded:

“It's the best job in the world, but look, I'm not inclined to do it.”

But, Bush isn't disappearing from politics. He spent some time this week at Texas A&M's The Bush School of Government and Public Service....

Jebbie lost the election, but will continue to influence future generations through his foundation (which supports Common Core ).

And he only said he did because to do otherwise would end his political career.

If Jeb had won his election in 1994, he 100% would have been President instead of GW.

But Lawton Chiles lied to old people, telling them Jeb was gonna (as Governor, WTF) take away their social security, and the rest is history.

We may owe Lawton an enormous debt of gratitude for sparing us El Jebbe as President.

What was it that Lawton Chiles called himself down the stretch in 1994? I think that it was “the old he-coon that knows where the water-hole is” or something like that.

LMAO!

Google says he said “the old he-coon walks just before the light of day,”, Lord, what a hick.

Leip has the county results, I wouldn’t have guessed by them that it had been a 1.5 point race.

DJ: “We may owe Lawton an enormous debt of gratitude for sparing us El Jebbe as President.”

Meh, he couldn’t have done worse than his brother, probably would have been slightly more competent, either way only 1 of them was ever gonna be President. Chiles State Supreme Court picks must have done damage to the State.

Don’t forget that El Jebbe “jointly” signed off on the appointment of Peggy Quince, a Black leftist, on the FL Supremes (one of those responsible for the 2000 debacle). Of course, had he been the nominee in 2000, FL wouldn’t have been in play, and it is possible he might’ve had an easier time than his brother with the election overall. But I think he still would’ve been a mediocrity and left our borders just as wide-open as Dubya. The media would’ve been merciless with his unattractive midget Mexican wife and their daughter (I always wondered the story about him and his wife, perhaps he married her to spite the parents. I can’t see what appeal she had to him as a young man, a rich beta male douche marrying a homely foreign peasant. I can understand if she was foreign and hot, but if you’ve seen the wedding photos, she looked like a Mexican Rosa Klebb).

Jeb doesn’t seem like a rebel against his daddy kinda guy.

I’d say Hobbit fetish.

The daughter is just, ugh.

The Quince thing, I don’t know the nuances of that but I doubt he would have appointed such himself, and indeed his own picks were fine, weren’t they?

Passive-aggressive rebelling is still rebelling, though.

Other than his joint appointment of Quince, there were just 2 SC appointees, Raoul Cantero and Kenneth Bell. Both retired in just 5/6 years, an unusually short span of time (and both still in their 40s).
