Meet one of the real 538 electors, Christopher Suprun a Republican from Texas. Suprun has decided to vote for someone other than Donald Trump when he casts his electoral college vote later this month. He believes other electors are right there with him.
"At this point there are people who have reached out to me. Again it wouldnt be my place to name who they are," he said, though he indicated he was talking about Republican electors.
"I am confident in saying, at this point," he continued,"I dont think I will be the only one voting for someone other than Donald Trump who is carrying a Republican elector seat."
Suprun told Jonathan Karl and Rick Klein on the Powerhouse Politics Podcast that he is not sure which former candidate will earn the vote since his choice, Ohio Governor John Kasich, has said he is not interested....

Depending on their state laws/state party regulations, they could find their votes nullified, thus reducing the 270 number needed.

When MI ended it recount, that ended Clinton’s chances. She would have needed MI, WI, and PA to win. Trump would have needed only one of those three.
His number is (202) 224-5922. Call him and ask him.
I don't think there's any need to wear a tin foil hat. You can almost guarantee it. It this turns out to be the case the electors should be prosecuted with aggravated charges with no chance of making bail. How do we know these guys aren't plants? And why make a decision to vote Trump on election night then suddenly change their vote now? I don't buy their bull$hit answers. Almost all are Hispanic and someone is meddling. The who is what we need to know.
Why the heck did he choose to be an elector? Idiot.
I'm less concerned about the leftist in this matter than I am about the GOPe. Lets just say, I've never felt comfortable about Utah's 6 votes.
They need to do a test vote without telling the electors it’s a test vote. Identify the traitors, get rid of them, and then revote.
Probably a delegate to the Repulocan convention. TO whom was he pledged? If not, where were his or his company’s alligence?
I thought the candidates themselves chose their electors. It’s not supposed be a prize from a Cracker Jack box.
No, the candidates have never had any say in the appointment of electors.
This #$%& signed a pledge.
Frankly-—sedition and conspiracy.
He tweeted in November that he’d vite Trump .
Something happened between then and now.
This is the law in Texas. http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/Docs/EL/htm/EL.192.htm
Seems that if he misses the meeting the other electors can replace him.
Well that would nip faithless electors in the bud.
Which ones seem Hispanic?
Which state?
Didn’t we meet him earlier this week?
It’s time to replace this guy.
He needs to be shunned forever more for treating fellow americans with such disdain.
Aren’t there some laws in the various states that require that the electors vote for the person who won that particular state?
This is a real question — I thought I read something like that, but would like to find out what is the actual situation.
Thanks.
