Something Feels Really Off About Jill Stein's Recount Effort
Pajiba ^ | November 25, 2016 | Dustin Rowles

Posted on 11/25/2016 9:14:46 AM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Hillary Clinton’s lead in the popular vote has increased now to 2.1 million votes and counting. She has received more votes than any other white or female candidate in the history of the United States. Indeed, Donald Trump may have garnered more votes than any other Republican in history, but he’s getting trounced in the popular vote. By the time counting has finished, Clinton’s 2+ million vote lead over Donald Trump will be a bigger vote lead than 28 eventual Presidents had over their opponents.

It’s not exactly a landslide (Obama beat McCain by 9 million votes, and Romney by 5 million), but it’s sizable enough that it should erase any question about Donald Trump having a mandate. He does not, and as infighting among his own administration continues and eventually carries over into infighting with the GOP-led Congress (which is inevitable), that will become clear.

What is also clear is this: Donald Trump won the Electoral College. Fair or not, that’s what matters, but now there are attempts being made to cast doubt on even that after Jill Stein decided — after playing spoiler in the general election — to use her standing to challenge the vote counts Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

It’s a Hail Mary, but it’s my fear that it might be the kind of Hail Mary pass that’s picked off in the end zone and ran back for a touchdown. The thing is: I don’t trust Jill Stein. She did not seem to have the best interests of the country in mind during the general election, and I’m not so sure she does now. As much as I’d like to see the election overturned somehow over a recount, I have a sneaking suspicion that this is not about ensuring a fair election, or attempting to sneak Hillary in the back door, but about Jill Stein.

Stein has so far raised $4.5 million in her efforts to force a recount in those three states, although her original goal was only $2.1 million, and then it was $4.5 million, and now it is $7 million, ostensibly to cover legal costs. My guess is that she will get the $7 million, because those of us on the left are desperate for some hope, moreso after each and every cabinet appointment is announced. The $4.5 million that Jill Stein has raised so far, as I understand it, is more than her entire general election campaign raised.

(TWEET-AT-LINK)

My fear, however, is that it won’t matter. Maybe — maybe — it results in a win for Hillary in Michigan, where the margin is only 10,000 votes. However, short of unearthing a discovery that might undermine our entire Democratic electoral process in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, it’s not likely to tilt the election back in Clinton’s favor. And when it doesn’t, we have to suffer that humiliating defeat all over again, notwithstanding the popular vote lead we are clinging to as though it can slow the march toward what will surely be the most corrupt Presidential administration in the history of the United States.

Do we really want to be taunted again by Trump and Kellyanne Conway?

(TWEET-AT-LINK)

Besides, what would actually happen if the electoral college swung back in favor of Clinton? I mean, I really don’t know. Does she get to take back her concession? Would she even want to? Will the election get tied up for months in legal challenges? Will it fall to the Supreme Court again to decide the election, where it is tied 4-4, which would likely mean the lower court vote stands? Not to mention what might happen with the angry, gun-toting Trump supporters fueled by fake news who might go absolutely apocalyptic in the event that Clinton somehow takes back the White House.

Why does this all feel like a really bad season of Scandal?

We might be better off pinning our hopes (and money) on Foster Campbell, a Democrat set to face off in a run-off election for a Senate seat on December 10th in Louisiana. His hopes of winning are slim (he’s down by 15+ points in one poll), but if Democrats could somehow get a massive turn-out-the-vote effort for an election that probably would have an otherwise low turnout, we could at least narrow the Senate lead to 51-49, which might give us some more hope in weeding out Trump’s hardline, inexperienced cabinet appointments (and preventing Trump from pushing through a wholly incompetent Supreme Court justice).

Quite. Slush fund. She can attribute a lot of activity to “vote recount”.

A serious effort is very unlikely to make Hillary POTUS. It would most likely tech the same result, putting those who care thru the same conclusion again. There’s also serious risk of uncovering major voter fraud, and putting a lot of Leftists in prison - not something I’d think Jill would want to risk. It might even uncover all the absentee ballots that weren’t counted, and give Trump the popular vote win.

I love how they are trying to use the popular vote to say that Trump doesn’t have a mandate. The popular vote is a function of liberal cities that would have no food to eat if it wasn’t for the farmers, ranchers, fisherman, etc. who don’t live in those cities and generally don’t share their values. It’s ludicrous to think that people living in cities should define how everyone else lives. Should European countries with the highest populations define how the rest of Europe lives? It’s ridiculous.

The downfall of Clinton has created a Dem power vacuum, much like the situation in Iraq that has given rise to ISIS (thanks, Barry) There will be a power struggle. One thing is certain: Trump will be sworn in January 20, 2017 or the S will HTF.

I don't think Stein is being pushed by anyone.

She's come across the perfect scenario to raise a bunch of money for her campaign and pay favors to her inner circle of friends and supporters.

I gotta give her credit for this one. She's figured out that there are a lot of delusional suckers out there who will actually fall for this crap. LOL.

in my state California traditionally about 10 percent of the vote are illegals using other people social security number to get id and work in the state...I don’t think the democratic party wants to go down this road because any investigation of the different states will find that between 5-10 percent of the democratic vote is out right fraud that leads back to key individuals in the state parties.

This is real simple and about the next election. Jill is sending a message: “the democrats are too wimpy to challenge the election results just as they’re too wimpy to challenge the status quo. If you want real change, you need to vote for the green candidate.”

fortunately, California and New York do not elect our president....the other states count also. The plurality in those states is nice, but Montana and Wisconsin would like a piece of the action too.

You're right. I think that the Baja Peninsula and metro Mexico City precincts have not reported yet.

Soros is working to get Bernie sworn in as the 45th President of the US. Do I have it all straight?

You missed the part where Warren will be his VP.

I think it's just as likely that the recount will discover shenanigans in Philadelphia and Detroit, and lay bare the vote fraud that has gone on for decades.

This time, Trump simply exceeded their achievable margin of fraud. And, they are probably sweating bullets over the prospect of someone looking too closely.

Therefore, I'm all for a careful recount -- as long as a friendly judge doesn't allow them to "find" more ballots in the trunk of someone's car. (Yes, that really happened in Minnesota)

I love how they are trying to use the popular vote to say that Trump doesn’t have a mandate.

Control of the House and Senate by the Republicans pretty much settles that question.

The leftists can whine all they want. But, they made the same claim when Obama was elected, and used that "mandate" to ram ObamaCare down our throats without a single Republican vote.

Now, the shoe is on the other foot.

I got this in my e-mail yesterday....thought I would share it...
Subject: The Abject Depression

And not to be forgotten is how the steady flow of donations to the Clinton Foundation is said to have dropped by 95%. Doesn’t that make you wonder how many places will now be willing to pay Hillary hundreds of thousands of dollars to talk to give them a speech? Poor babies, the Clinton’s may actually have to start to live on their own income and not someone elses.

Think about this for a moment, my Friends:

Tuesday Nov. 8 at around 1700 hours, Hillary and 400+ Hillary Clinton loyalists gathered with 100+ cases of champagne, a Two-Million-Dollar, ($2,000,000.00) paid for massive fireworks display in downtown New York and a custom built dome with the mythical “glass roof” and the Bitch, (or as her Secret Service call sign names her— “Broomstick One”) to celebrate Broom Stick One’s victory over Trump as the first Female President of the United States. The inner cities were dancing in the streets, knowing their Welfare checks were going to continue and go up. Mexico was happy as they could continue to empty their prisons into America. ISIS was happy as they could continue to infiltrate America with their Terrorists!

Newsweek had already published and shipped the next issue with the cover “Madam President” and a detailed analysis of precisely how the Clinton political machine had captured the Electoral College with a whopping 324 votes. They had her acceptance speech in an article gracefully calling for all Americans to join with her and blah, blah, blah.

Among the 400+ giddy followers were those who had already received confirmation of their future assignments and high paid government jobs in the White House, FBI, Department of Labor, Ambassadorships and the list goes on. All were assured of at least four (4) and probably eight (8) years of lucrative jobs that they had dedicated over 3 years of their lives to achieving. They had all rented or bought housing in D.C. or nearby in Georgetown. Reservations had been made at the Hilton and other 5 star hotels in New York City for the PARTY.

They knew the fix was in: every poll and every media outlet except Fox News and Drudge was in the tank for Hillary and against Trump. At a rate of 45 to 1 Department of Justice employees had contributed to the campaign over Trump. CNN, NBC, CBS had all supplied Hillary with the debate questions well in advance. The fix was in over all the scandals and the WikiLeaks was all the fault of the Russians who had even changed the language in the emails. The Department of Justice and FBI had cleared Hillary of any criminal conduct.

Every media pundit and all of the polls except the LA Times and one other had Hillary with a 1-8 point lead. The odds in Las Vegas were 200 to 1 and by election time were still 5 to 1. The exit polls were 100% in the Democrat’s favor and the path to victory was clear.

Then within 5 short hours it all came crashing down. They were stunned—told to go home and go home they did so they could organize riots and proclaim to the world that Trump was not their President.

Imagine the abject depression and shock that set in.

I freaking love it.

“Congrats to All Patriotic Americans that love their Republic, great job!”

I got to say, I was the true pessimist when it came to Trump....never thought he stood a chance...the fix was in.... Needless to say I am relieved beyond all description.... If Hillary would have won I am certain it would have been the end of the U.S.A. as we know it... As it is, taking back America from the “Commie left” is going to be one of the most difficult jobs Trump as ever encounter...

I wish Him well......

Hillary Clinton’s lead in the popular vote has increased now to 2.1 million votes and counting

Which, oddly enough, is roughly the same number of illegals who were registered to vote in California.

*********

And which about 1.5 million of the 2.1 million lead comes from one county in Californina.

Los Angeles County

 Clinton 71.54% 2,110,538
 Trump 23.12% 681,971
 Johnson 2.59% 76,520
 Stein 2.15% 63,337
 Riva 0.61% 17,863
4,988 of 4,988 precincts reporting (100.0%)
Los Angeles County.....

There's an amazing back story here that no one has recognized.

Almost everyone at Free Republic agrees that Clinton stole 3 to 5 million votes, and that voter fraud by Democrats is completely impossible to prevent or prove.

I think Donald Trump may have co-opted the Democrat strategy and stolen even more votes than Hillary.

His plan was daring, outrageous, and politically brilliant.

Now, the only way the Democrats can stop Trump from becoming President is if the Democratic leadership admits to massive voter fraud and goes to prison!

I would tell my dear DH and anyone else who cared to listen that if Donald Trump should win, it would only because of divine providence, by God’s own intervention in the people’s hearts, as so much was so totally stacked against him, including his own bad behavior at times. Yet, in spite of the odds against him, in spite of the money spent, in spite of it all, he did win, and at about 2:30 that early morning on Nov. 9th, I cried at the wonderful, blessed good news that Donald J. Trump had won the election! Thank you, Dear Lord God!

Despite a 16-months long history of dismally wrong predictions, the fools on the left can’t help themselves by continuing the trend, now calling the Trump administration corrupt and a failure, and this 2nd division entity is no exception.

Limbaugh is right: You can always know the true nature of the left by what they accuse the right of doing and being.
