Congressional Clinton probes will go forward post-election, GOP lawmakers say

The probes, which cover allegations that Clinton lied to Congress about her email practices in October 2015 and that government records were destroyed, are ongoing and not dependent on the election's outcome, two senior Republican senators said. "I still don't have the information I need," Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, told Fox News. Johnson said the work of his committee, with jurisdiction over government records and the mishandling of classified information, would be careful not to disrupt President-elect Donald Trump’s priorities.

But they’ll still get her. All they have to do is take her sworn testimony about her cronies and other really sensitive stuff. Being Hillary, she’ll lie and they’ll get her for post-pardon perjury.

As much as I detested Arlen Spector as a senator, he was a relentless prosecutor who knew how to tighten the noose around the neck of a smug, unsuspecting, suspect right up until the trap-door was being sprung. Trump will have access to lots of those kinds of prosecutors.

If she’s pardoned, her freedom will no longer be imperiled. No more 5th amendment worries. Compel her and all those pardoned to give complete disclosure about the surrounding events and the actors involved. Bonus, lies or new crimes will not be covered by the original pardon.
