Final Trump count: 20,000 total supporters, 50 protesters (Prescott Valley, Arizona)

PRESCOTT VALLEY – Republican presidential candidate Donald J. Trump may have been wrong when he said there were “15,000 to 20,000” of his supporters still outside the Prescott Valley Event Center while he spoke there on Tuesday, Oct. 4, but he wasn’t far off.

Prescott Valley Police Sgt. Jason Kaufman said that 13,000 people were shut out of the rally when the door closed.

Central Arizona Fire Marshal Rick Chase said he allowed 7,000 inside, and that the empty floor space was intentional.

“We do a square-footage measurement to determine the occupancy we can put on (the floor),” Chase said. “That (empty floor space) needed to remain clear, so if there was a mass situation … we couldn’t have the entire floor with every square inch with somebody there. It would be a nightmare for (emergency) egress.”

Those 13,000 outside were able to view Trump’s speech on a large TV screen.

Asked by email how many tickets were given out for the event, Trump Press Lead Kathryn Wellner replied, “I do not and will not have any attendance numbers to share.” She did not answer a follow-up email asking who in the campaign might have that information.

Central Arizona Fire Chief Scott Freitag said his department had notified the Event Center staff well in advance of the rally that there would be a 7,000-person limit....

Prescott’s a heavily Republican area though. Those 50 protestors were probably mostly from hippie Prescott College.

One of the protesters was probably my uncle. Well, you can’t pick your relatives.

Hint: You may not need a ticket to attend a Trump rally. At the rally last month in Everett, WA, they checked our carry-ons but did not ask us to furnish tickets. Similar attendance figures to AZ in Everett. 10,000 inside, 8000 outside, 3 to 4 hour long lines.

Those fifty protestors were safe unlike what anti-Trump protestors do when they feel safe in targeting Trump people.

How many persons per sq footage .. is usually based on INSURANCE costs. If you shove more than the allotted amount of persons into the building and the building catches on fire .. and/or people are hurt or killed .. ???

YOUR INSURANCE PAYS YOU -0- FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LIABILITIES.

I dowloaded tickets for the Pence event in Tucson. They weren’t interested in seeing them at the door.

Could be... lol, but I just read the headline and commented to my wife, I bet 45 of them drove up from Phoenix to protest... she wanted to drive up to go to the rally, it’s just barely over an hour away.

I had to show my ticket (on my phone) at the Everett, WA rally and so did people around me.

Very impressive turnout.

Prescott, Prescott Valley, Dewey, and Chino Valley have a total population of 100,000 so 20% of the area turned out.
