I didn't think at the time that Bobby Kennedy had any chance of being the nominee--LBJ had too much influence in the Democratic Party and he was determined not to let RFK be the nominee. I also remember people speculating that Humphrey might have won if the election had taken place a little later because he was rising in the polls. Of course if Wallace had not been in the race Nixon might have won more easily in 1968.

Gore was trailing in 2000 the week before the election, until the weekend media obsession with GWB's 24-year-old DUI arrest, which is thought to have caused millions of evangelicals to refuse to vote for him.

Should Clinton manage to steal defeat from the jaws of victory, as she nearly did in her race against Sanders...
She nearly lost the nomination to Sanders??? Really? I think that would come as quite a surprise to Debbie Wasserman-Test. Bernie never stood a chance of being the nominee regardless of how the primary votes had turned out.

The “Hillary Clinton is not a liberal, she is a right-winger” crowd is a special type of crazy.

Nixon won because the “Silent Majority” voted for him. I can remember that after Watergate, the “Silent Majority” remained silent to the point where you could ask anyone if they voted for Nixon and no one would admit it.

I see the same thing lining up this year. People only have one real choice in Trump but because of public shaming of Americans who still care about this country, the “silent majority” will rise but the vast amount of those folks will never admit they plan on voting for him.

Andrew O’Heir there’s a lot of bile in you ready to spill over.

Bad, bad journalism full of inaccuracies, but what’s new from the far-liberal left.

Advocacy in panic mode.
