Apparently, there is a famous woman running for president against Donald Trump who has a very good chance to win, not that there is much said about her in the media. Most days on cable TV news shows, in the political blogs and in the newspapers nearly all the discussion is about Trump’s latest weird tweet or bellicose speech or impulsive campaign stunt.
Is this good for Hillary Clinton? Some opine that it is. All the focus on Trump deflects attention from the nagging questions, both fair and unfair, about her actions as secretary of State, her mishandled email and her complicated ties to the Clinton Foundation. It allows her to be selective about when she talks to the media. And it frees her to spend lots of time flying around to ultra-exclusive fundraisers from Beverly Hills to Nantucket.
Arguably, this is working. Current projections put her on an open path to the 270 electoral votes she needs to capture the presidency, while Trump is struggling to maintain a lead even in solid Republican states such as Georgia and Arizona. So, who cares if Trump dominates the news?
Clinton should care. In a country where far too many voters seem more interested in being entertained than enlightened, Trump is a good show. Even though the electoral map favors Clinton, national polls do not indicate that there is much of a popular-vote gap between the two candidates — both hover in the 40s....

Yes!! They have some really good Trump videos too. Trump is essentially taunting Obama in one of them, while he’s going if if if if if lol. I just discovered the channel earlier today and thought that Hillary video would be appropriate for this article.

Gee, L.A. Slimes, if that were really true, then why are ya’ll so worried about Crooked Hillary in your article? After all, you’ve already declared as fact that Crooked Hillary is a slam dunk to stomp Trump. That should really be the end of the story if it were actually true.

I live at the southern point of Northern Virginia. Lots of Obama stickers still on cars here. Many Bernie stickers.
I thought that I saw the first Hillary sticker today. On closer inspection, it said “Never Hillary”.
Granted, I have not seen a Trump sticker either. I am starting to see a few Trump yard signs.

Yet another media outlet that has not come to grips with the fact that Hillary has suspended her campaign pending the coronation. She may pop out of intensive care long enough to suck some funds out of her clueless, yet dwindling, support base. But other than that, she is lifeless.
I still bet they’re make some kind of big dramatic announcement about her health (sick but CLEARLY fit to serve!), double-down on the sympathy card, and put here in a motorized wheelchair to capture the visual impact whether she needs it or not. Trump will be called a bully and worse if he so much as even mentions it, so they’ll have effectively pre-empted the issue.
And Biden will Stand Up for her ;-)

Telling the truth would be hard for her but would draw the needed attention.
When Hillary collapses in a heap in the middle of the public appearance that would get a lot of attention.
Would love to see Trump refuse to debate Hillary before she holds at least two press conferences...where journalists are free to ask questions that weren’t pre-authorized by the beast.
Nice headline. The author uses the word “steal” with Hillary and mentions Trump (the thing he was trying to get the media to avoid)...all in one little headline. Well done, LA Times.
Please media, rather than just implying Mrs Clinton is being picked upon, enumerate the specific unfair questions being asked and explain what makes them unfair. Of course, that would make you advocates for Mrs Clinton but then really, you are already and we all know it.
Best way for Hillary to steal the country’s attention from Trump, is to die.
As bad as she looks, she may just do that.
