Trump promises wall and massive deportation program
The Politico ^ | August 31, 2016 | Nolan D. McCaskill

Donald Trump on Wednesday squashed any speculation that he might soften his immigration position to reach new voters in the final stretch of the 2016 campaign, delivering a hawkish, hardline, and true-to-his-roots border platform and vowing that on Day One of his administration, the United States would launch a mammoth deportation program and begin construction of a wall.

Emerging from a hastily organized meeting with Mexico's president, the Republican nominee flew to Arizona and not only renewed his pledge that America’s southern neighbor would fund an impenetrable, beautiful border wall but said it would be built in “record time” and at a “reasonable price."

“We will build a great wall along the southern border —and Mexico will pay for the wall,” Trump said. “100 percent. They don’t know it yet, but they're gonna pay for the wall.”

Trump hailed the “great people and great leaders” of Mexico following his visit to Mexico City but insisted, “they’re going to pay for the wall.”(continued)

I guess all the talk about softening and flip-flop was just to hype the ratings for tonight’s speech. ;-)

Now the MSM will attack him because he isn’t going to have a Deportation Force, he is going to have a Deportation Task Force! Two completely different things, don’t you know! ;-)

Donald Trump on Wednesday squashed any speculation that he might soften his immigration position ...

After blowing smoke for a week that he was going to soften.

Speculation is not news.

Are their kids born here US citizens?

Can they leave them with family in the US that are here legally?

I would give me kid a chance in the US before bringing them back to that hell, but I dont want millions of kids staying.

Humane means we will send the whole family back. It will be their choice to dump the kids with their auntie Em.

If they can’t get a job and welfare is cut off they will want to leave! Establish a “one-way” ticket and $500 USD program and watch them RUN!

Yes, a massive deportation force…for illegal criminals—but they leave that last part off because they know very few reasonable people would actually object to getting criminals out quickly and decisively.

For the rest of the illegals, Trump said he’d enforce the laws. He didn’t say anything about mass round-ups of the non-criminals. If his 10 point plan gets implemented most will go home on their own accord, but Politico and other assorted leftists want people to think he’s going to shove millions into Holocaust-like cattle cars heading south overnight. Trump’s policy proposals were entirely mainstream for a Republican (and many moderate Dems) not that long ago. Even now, that RINO Hugh Hewitt still praised the speech on MSNBC, because his proposals are more than reasonable.
