There are at least 15,000 members of the media in Philadelphia right now, along with virtually every progressive movement leader and Democratic elected official in the country.
Yet no one seemed aware that hundreds of Bernie Sanders delegates planned to walk out of the Democratic National Convention in unison Tuesday, at the precise moment party unity was supposed to reach a crescendo.
The walkout, which came as Sanders personally moved to nominate Hillary Clinton by acclimation, left hundreds of seat on the convention floor empty ...

The negative implications of this magnitude of Democrat dissatisfaction for Hillary Clinton's election chances are staggering.
I’ll throw it out to twitter and facebook, but it’s probably already there.
the under 30s get all their info on social media and i’m sure this is well known that there were hundreds.
some of us older folk depend on the tv news still :)
I did. Now i just depend on FR. Older folk here at 48 :)
Maybe members of the media can pinch-hit as delegates, now that there are empty seats.
They have been unofficial delegates all along.
“Ill throw it out to twitter and facebook, but its probably already there.”
BTW, this article is datelined only 20 minute ago, so this is truly Breaking News!
Quite frankly, this is the big smashup of the Rat convention that I’ve been hoping and praying for.
The Mediascum didn’t show all the empty seats, didn’t cover the dramatic event, pure Soviet style churnalism in Hillary-state.
Why is NBC suddenly off the reservation? It might be that their Political Director, CHuck Todd, is a wee bit embarrassed that #DNCLEAK revealed him to be a DNC lapdog??
Yummy for all those sanders voters going to pick trump. Would be unrealistic to expect 10%, but 2-3% is my guess, 8% long shot. Then there are some that aren’t even going to vote. 5% minimum.
Dark conventions? The DNC has a very dark cloud over it’s head. Interior and exterior anti-people walls?
Trumps RNC rally was a beacon of light. Shining the spot light on a problem and saying “I can fix that, I have a solution”. Great employee attitude. Some just make a living pointing out problems and blaming it on others.
Elderly friend is watching DNC and says she’s impressed with the interesting, positive, and loving nature of the interaction, especially compared with the obvious hatred and strife on display at the recent RNC. Says it’s refreshing.
I'm not so sure of that. Liberals and leftists tend to stick together. Hillary can give them what they want just as well as Bernie, and they're not going to do anything to risk a Republican win. Solidarity at all costs is their one virtue.
Last night Jill Stein of the Green Party was standing outside of Wells Fargo Center during the protest with a bullhorn. Based on the footage I saw she seemed to be whipping up a goodly number of Bernie supporters to make her their new standard bearer.
It would be interesting to see a 4-way poll (Trump, Hillary, Johnson, and Stein) to find out which way the Bernie faction is going.
Tomorrow they are going to need to adjust the vote count
of the November election.
The machines can’t program themselves.
When I'm not here on FR, of course.
Sanders walked out himself.
Right after he threw in the towel. He ran to the exit.
He led the walkout.
What is that? I guess i should just look it up :)
For us folk over 40, the world has REALLY changed since we were kids!!!
Used to have to wait 4 years for a hit movie to come to tv lol.
15 years ago I bought my then GF a TV that had to weigh 200 pounds!! HUGE thing. and series.
This story says 1800 Sanders delegates walked out!

Huffpo says “hundreds”, Time says “”over 100”, and MSN says “dozens”. Those were the only msm stories “democratic convention walkout brought up on it on Bing.
Walls, to prevent anyone from reaching the stairs. What an apt metaphor. “no, you cannot climb yourself to success without our permission.”
...but for some reason NBC decided to start telling the truth about this.Yes that's very strange!
She’s clearly senile.
Your first photo, why is the shot cropped to only show the first 10 rows???
Because the zombies scooted up to get the front row seats.
I’ll wager row 11 and beyond are much more empty.
If rows 11 and beyond are full, the picture would have been cropped to show the extra “capacity” crowd
