The fight over rules that could upend the Republican National Convention officially began in earnest Thursday, as delegates began circulating the first proposed rule for this year's convention in Cleveland.
A draft rule, obtained by MSNBC, would effectively lock-in Donald Trump as the GOP nominee and kill the "Stop Trump" movement once and for all.

Oh, BTW, “rough around the edges” used to be called “gritty” or “feisty” or “courageous,” back when we used to be America.
Unfortunately they have to be watched like hawks. I speculate that like Hastert many of them have stuff in their past they don't want to get out. Unfortunately the power structure finds out and holds it over their head.
Honor is something that is in short supply in our elected officials and so you are correct not to trust them. But at the same time what was your choice? Some democrat who you know will vote leftist every chance he/she gets or the slime Republican who might keep his promises 50% of the time.
Did they also have pledges they signed, in the past that you are speaking of?
This whole thing is like a bad joke, not funny at all and all the excuses thrown up as to why it’s so clever for cruz/kasich et al to withhold their support, is looking mighty thin.

It makes them look like all talk and no action as Trump has been saying all along.
Also, it’s one thing to send majorities up there, quite another to capture the leadership. That takes more than a few cycles.
