Presumptive Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump offered a welcome to Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders's supporters in a speech delivered a day after The Associated Press reported Hillary Clinton clinched the Democratic presidential nod.
"To all those Bernie Sanders voters who have been left out in the cold by a rigged system of superdelegates, we welcome you with open arms," Trump said during his speech, which struck an uncharacteristically conciliatory tone after high tensions from within his own party this week.
Trump has often channeled Sanders as a kindred spirit, arguing that both were being kept down by a "rigged system" and applauding his stance on trade. On Tuesday, he equated Clinton with an unfair process.
"We can't fix a rigged system by relying on, and I mean this so strongly, on the very people who rigged it," he added, bashing Clinton and her "corrupt dealings."
"The Clintons have turned the politics of personal enrichment into an art form for themselves," he said.
The speech, one of his few scripted talks, comes hours after Trump was forced to issue a clarification to mounting criticism over his controversial attacks on a federal judge. Trump has said the judge shouldn't be allowed to preside over his Trump University fraud case because of a conflict of interest based on the judge's Mexican heritage.
Trump gave a great speech tonight.....
..”The Clintons have turned the politics of personal enrichment into an art form for themselves...
Thus, the fantastic success and immunity from prosecution and scrutiny or the Clinton Crime Family Syndicate. Al Capone and his successors are envyous.
The Presidency should be good for a billion dollars for them .
Trump has been picking unnecessary, unproductive fights again. As with the Mexican Judge controversy. An unforced error or action of his own doing. This is going to mix people up who might otherwise support him. Maybe he’ll get back on message soon and stay there. It probably has money men new to the Trump Train wondering if they have made a very public, very expensive mistake. I’m just waiting for him to start Round 8 with Megyn all over again.
Ping!

Just got back from voting (freepers from CA & NJ)
I would say his speech tonight and winning all the primaries would be considered on message. But then again I don’t get concerned so easily over false issues that the voters care nothing about. Just me.
I agree. It isn’t because the Judge is a Mexican, it’s because he is an activist with radical LaRaza group.
“... the politics of personal enrichment ..”
LOVE his play on their signature line, “.. the politics of personal destruction.”
Trump picks fights he is sure to win.
He is already winning against this racist judge born of likely illegals.
Yep, Trump is like Ricky Roma from Glengarry, Glen Ross, “You never open your mouth, until you know what the shot is.”
Brilliant move.
For the past year, we have been repeatedly told that Trump is finished due to something he did or said, only to find out later that he was right after all and that his support continued to increase.
Now that I look at that picture, it occurs to me that most of the angst with The Donald is his family in general, and his wife in particular.
I imagine the vast majority of men are jealous of DJT, and the feminazi’s are livid they’ll never have the lifestyle and class of Melania. They are likely so envious of Melania their eyes are green.
Jealousy and envy are very difficult emotions to overcome, so they try to destroy Mr. Trump instead.
I hope you’re right about this.
Trump could get a substantial chunk of the Bernie voters... most Bernie voters DISPISE Hillary and all her corrupt slime
Personally, I’m not jealous of Trump, though I think I’d love to work with or for him, even for a short time. Seems like a man I could learn a lot from.
At the moment I’m happy with a salary that can keep me fed and surfing FR out of the rain.
I should have been more clear:
I really was referring to the men inside the Beltway (politicians and pundits), and big media in general.
Normal guys admire Mr. Trump and what he’s accomplished over the past three decades. Sure, many of us have always dreamed of doing business with a man like Donald Trump.
