Washington State holds its Republican primary on Tuesday, and with one candidate left in the race, there's not too much drama about the outcome. But in a twist and what would the 2016 race be without a twist? 40 of Washington's 41 delegates selected Saturday to attend the Republican National Convention in July are Ted Cruz partisans. Cruz supporters outnumbered Donald Trump supporters at the state GOP convention in Pasco, and they were better organized, pushing through the Cruz slate of delegates over occasional protests from Trump backers, who noted repeatedly that Cruz is no longer in the race.
Among the Trump supporters who did not get elected a national delegate is Trump state campaign chairman Don Benton, a Washington State senator. Benton predicted that the Cruz delegates will come around to supporting Trump in fact, ACCORDING TO STATE PARTY RULES, they have to VOTE FOR TRUMP at the convention, assuming Trump wins the primary on Tuesday. But the Republicans in Washington State are not yet unified, The Seattle Times reports, and several candidates for statewide office are either studiously not saying if they will support Trump, like gubernatorial candidate Bill Bryant, or saying they won't. "Do you think I enjoy this? Not supporting the nominee?" said Chris Vance, a GOP candidate for U.S. Senate. "It's unpleasant."
Those same barons and aristocrats proceeded to malign him for centuries after his sad downfall.
Elizabeth left all that behind and ruled as a great queen. She had her faults but she was a Yorkist prince through and through. Blood will tell!
Vote count?
Yeah...............maybe he'll also be the next president, in your delusional little world. LOL
They run that primary for a reason.
If Ted had won all the delegates already, the various sites would be showing him with noticeable fairly sizable increases in his delegate totals.
The primaries today determine who will get the delegates.
I have no idea what the exercise on Saturday was for.
“... since Trump won the State...”
Well - he probably will, but that won’t be known for sure until tonight or later. Mail/drop off balloting ends at 8 pm local tonight.
I did not say he did. I was saying the headline doesn’t really match the article. The delegates will be bound by the primary on the first round. They are also better for the platform votes than the GOP-E sycophants that would have been at the convention because Trump did not submit a slate in time. Washington was the state where his people sent the list to D.C. instead of the state.
>>You all sound like conspiracy idiots.
Calling all of us people “conspiracy idiots” is Establishment Propaganda 101, typically used by paid political agitators. It’s intent is to demean, shame, or otherwise discount the validity of meaningful analysis.
>>So why are you still whining about Cruzs organization. It’s not only fair, it’s the other half of the game.
You characterize our responses as “whining”?
Insulting Trump supporters on a 100% Trump site is unwise.
I think it’s WAY PAST TIME for agitators who will not stop, to respect Jim’s repeated requests, and TAKE IT ELSEWHERE.
Thank you.
“Cruz bad. Trump good.”
If Teddy Bare is prepared to throw the election to another establishment-approved looser for the astronomically slim chance that Cruz might get another grab at brass ring, in order to serve his naked ambition (heh), then yeah—Cruz is bad.
Another insulting thing presented to us by you people: Of course you can’t help but assume that Cruz would do a better job of running a convention, hammering out positions, and so forth and so on. Since he was rejected by the people, if not the party.
Because Cruz is a true-blue dude. Right?
Like liberals and their heads-in-bottles over abortion and “gun control,” you Cruzers just can’t seem to get past the question-begging burr under your saddles, “But Cruz is the better choice ... “ So you assume he is owed a participation prize of some kind.
If the American people agreed with you—after getting to know both Ted and Donald—Cruz would’t have to insinuate himself into so many things in so many unsavory ways.
I just can’t imagine Trump—if the situation was reversed and Cruz was close to winning 1,237—I can’t imagine Trump abasing himself by taking the mind-boggling position, “OK, I lost ... but I still want to run things.”
The ultimate goal is beating Clinton, not serving Ted’s ambition or finding something for Ted to do.
Although it’s been said—many times, many ways—you Undead Cruzers can either get on board the Trump Express or GTH off FR for good with your unwanted, stupid sniping.
That’s simple enough so that even a Cruzman can understand it. And have a super day.
Thank YOU !
They didn’t know the truth about him. Teddykins lied to the people of Texas, by omission and commission. He looked great on paper and was still hiding the truth about who and what he really is. I don’t blame them for voting for him for Senator; I blame him for lying and pretending to be what and whi he isn’t.
Ted can’t be trusted anymore than the Clinton’s who he probably has a deal with.
Vote for Trump or don't, but you aren't welcome here. JR has posted quite a number of threads laying out his policy, now that Trump IS the nominee elect. I suggest that you stop trashing Trumpers or write your OPUS.
You said that Teddy told them to vote for Trump, for unity sake. He didn't. Your post is stupid, not clever, not funny, and just plain old STUPID!
Do you understand now ?
“At least George P. was born here, but was his mother an American citizen when he was born?”
From Wikipedia:
“George Prescott Bush (born April 24, 1976)” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_P._Bush
Columba Garnica Gallo was born in León, Guanajuato, Mexico...
Gallo married Bush on February 23, 1974, in Austin, Texas at the chapel in the Catholic student center on the campus of the University of Texas. At the time of the wedding, she did not speak English and a part of the wedding ceremony was conducted in Spanish...
She became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1979.

So, the short answer would appear to be NO, he is not an NBC.
Legal fictions will be the wind in his sails however, as he is also NOT a criminal de jure, even though he is de facto.

All factually correct and I can’t add anything at all to it. Well said!
>>Cruz bad. Trump good.
That’s correct.
Outing pretenders is our duty.
Supporting true patriots is our delight!
The “exercise” on Saturday was to choose the people who would be attending the convention as delegates for the state. Those are the same people who will be required to vote for whoever wins the state primary, Donald Trump most likely. Of those delegates will be chosen people for the party platform update and separately the rules committee. So, these “Cruz delegates” are conservatives who are invested in the party and hoping to keep conservative values in the platform. The title of the article was written to make people believe that Cruz has been working to add to his delegate count to move him towards the nomination, but that is not the case.
You’re on fire today....keep it going! :-)
Your so right. Been agitating on the free republic since 1998. At one time the free republic was about ideas. I guess it is now about purity of thought. I really was not aware that the free republic was now 100% Trump. If that is the case, then FR has lost its way. Since my political observations are no longer welcome, I’ll try to refrain from commenting on those types of issues u til I learn to conform. Is there a list somewhere of positions I need to hold on other topics also?
LOL!! PRICELESS!
