Mexico warns of repercussions if remittances are blocked
Los Angeles Times ^ | 05/12/2016 | Tracy Wilkinson

If a new U.S. administration blocks the flow of remittances -- the estimated $20 billion that Mexicans working in the U.S. send home each year -- then joint efforts to stop money laundering and other illicit forms of finance will be dealt a dangerous setback, a senior Mexican official warned Thursday.

Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, has vowed, if elected, to make Mexico pay to build a wall along the entire southwest border, even if it means impounding remittance payments.

"Maybe we do need a war until we can build a fence and become friendly neighbors again."

Again? When has Mexico ever been a friend to the U.S.?

To the senior Mexican official: You know, if they lived and worked in Mexico they could spend all of their money in Mexico. Big benefit for Mexico to bring their people home.

Maybe we should legalize the illegals drugs, then by use of American ingenuity, flood the Mexican and Central American market with the drugs they’ve been using to fund their cartels.

Mexico is infested with drug cartels and terrorist cells. The country is virtually in a state of collapse without our funding of their workers. It presents a clear a present danger to our safety.
Maybe an intervention is in order.

Trump has to sit down with Fox and have a serious discussion about our options.

What are they going to do, cut off the flow of reprobates and people willing to undercut American's wages?

I suspect the real reason a lot of these Mexican (and, for that matter, some American) politicians are getting worked up is that the wall would mean an end to the easy way of getting drugs from South America up into the United States.

I would have to imagine that a vast majority of the Mexican political types in areas where people migrate from South America and Central American to the USA benefit financially from drug trafficking. If it isn’t easy to move crap into the United States, they aren’t going to get those healthy, cash kickbacks for looking the other way. A big wall makes it a bit difficult to get their crap into the country.

A lot of the money is from drug sales. I forgot what the estimate figure was except that black tar heroin by itself brings in huge amounts. And causes extreme suffering and hardships for US citizens. Odd, but the dealers, all of them illegal aliens from Mexico, are under orders to sell only to whites.

Simple question, Mexico. How many pissing contests have you seen anyone win against Trump?

So here’s the suggestion. You want to change the tone, then do so. Don’t talk about how you’ll enable illegal activities; that’s supposed to be a secret.

Just some quiet advice. It was free, feel free to ignore it. In fact, I really hope you do, and you ratchet it up even higher as we go along in this campaign season. That will get MILLIONS of voters excited and out there on election day - guess what, not one of them will be voting for HIllary.

They can just pay for the fence and hope that it is finished ahead of schedule to avoid penalties.
