CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) Donald Trump's presidential campaign has all but thrown in the towel in Wyoming ahead of Saturday's Republican convention.
The billionaire businessman's campaign made a conscious decision not to commit resources to Wyoming, according to Alan Cobb, a senior Trump adviser.
Trump picked only up a single delegate in last month's Wyoming county conventions while Cruz scored nine. There are 14 more delegates at stake at this weekend's state convention. In a telephone interview with The Associated Press from the convention site in Casper, Wyoming, Cobb said Friday that he expects Trump's rival Ted Cruz to sweep what remains of the 29 delegates up for grabs in the Wyoming convention....

I’ll believe it after all the voting is done.
We mere savages in mere flyover country are not important to New Yorkers, even supposed Republican ones.
Cruz is about to lose 7 states straight where Trump will increase his total by 200 more delegates. Cruz lost big on the March 1st and then lost big on March 15th, which made caucus state like CO, WY insignificant. It’s been really over for Cruz since mid-March.
You hunt where there’s game.
Despite the small numbers at stake, this is a dumb move. He needs every delegate he can get if he wants to reach 1237.
Ask Cruz. He's throwing away the entire Northeast, apparently, except for Maine, a caucus state, of course...
He will easily make the 1237 without the caucus states.
Yep.
The wise don’t count their chickens.....
I have never been more chomping-at-the-bit to go vote.
I considered early voting but decided that showing up at the poll was more satisfying.
Tuesday cannot come soon enough.
How much did you raise today for the other reality TV star in the race? You know, The Biggest Loser. How much?
Yawn.
Wyoming is one of those states with only one congressional district, right?
“We mere savages in mere flyover country are not important...”
It will get even worse as it seems even freepers are wishing to get rid of our delegate system and just move on to a Democracy.
With the northeast and California coming up? As many Wyomings as he wants.
Either you jump on the Trump Train of it will mow you down.

Pretty much, the sheep can’t vote ;)
Cruz will get these 14 delegates, plus another 12 or more former Rubio delegates from OK.
Will be interesting to see if Trump can be held to 80 delegates here in NY.
Heard that Cruz needs to win 38% of the delegates to not be eliminated and force a second ballot.
Sorry if that upsets folks- The best solution is for Trump and Cruz to somehow reach a rapprochement or the delegates could get together and form a ‘shotgun’ wedding.
It hasn’t been over for Cruz since mid-March. On the contrary, he cobbled together enough delegates to eat significantly into Trump’s lead and to significantly reduce Trump’s chances of making it to 1237. I am NOT saying Cruz is going to get to 1237 or that he is beating Trump or any nonsense like that. But numerically, he has accomplished enough to make a strong play for a contested convention where his chances will be much better than where he is now. I know there is good reason to expect the GOPe to throw up every obstacle in front of Cruz just as much as Trump, but I think between the two of them, the party is not going to be able to stop one of them from getting the nomination.
This is not an anti-Trump rant or a Cruz sellout post. I’m just offering discussion on the point you made.
