But the Presidency belongs only to someone who is a Natural Born Citizen.
Because I don't care if someone was born in a manger on July 4th! A "Natural Born" citizen requires two US parents!
Or so I've been told...
More gaslighting. No, it’s not about the system being rigged to ensure a GOPe win. It’s about Trump not showing up. What complete B.S. To repeat, this is like the guy who cheats at cards blaming the other guy for not showing up to play poker with him. This has nothing to do with ground game, and everything to do with a rigged system.
The article is correct on how easy it is to become a delegate, if you are willing to put in the time. I have never been a delegate, because I considered it inappropriate (this is the first year I have not been working for a candidate), but I have been offered that opportunity many times, including by three candidates this year.
Trump has to up his ground game, not just in getting his voters to the polls but also in getting genuine supporters picked as delegates. It is the Trump campaign’s job, and I’m disappointed in their minimal effort. I’ll vote for Trump, but if he doesn’t make it, I’ll blame him. Yes, the establishment tries to stack the deck, but Trump has enough support to beat them even in a rigged game - if he does his part.
For all of you who have not yet received the latest edition of the Newspeak dictionary, let me fill you in on the updates.
Controlling the delegate selection process to ensure that only Cruz supporters will be allowed to win delegate positions will now be referred to as having a strong ground game.
Fighting back against disenfranchisement of voters will now be referred to as whining.
Any questions?
Classic. More personal pronoun abuse than Obama could dream of. Hope you’re paid on spam volume, rather than results? Because the number of Freepers you’ve turned off your candidate would add up to several delegates now.
While the Cruz campaign talks about rules and processes, the Trump campaign talks about voters, democracy and a system that is phony and has been for years. Guess which one will prevail, especially during this cycle of the ‘outsider’. Cruz once again, as with his NY values comment, got ahead of his skis.
Like the Electoral College in the general election, it reflects the electorate somewhat, but not exactly - but this is how we avoid a President AlGore-type of fiasco.
