'NeverTrumps' should support Ted Cruz
CNBC ^ | April 1, 2016 | Bruce Abramson and Jeff Ballabon

Over the past few months, the Republican race has morphed from a seventeen-headed gorgon into a more manageable monster with four faces.

The first face belongs to front runner Donald Trump, who has run an idiosyncratic campaign, focused almost entirely on his own personality. He has no discernible platform, represents no clear faction of the GOP, and is running as Trump rather than as a Republican.

The next two faces are recognizably Republican. Ted Cruz, a respectable second, is running as the strong constitutional conservative. He favors a smaller government; decentralization of authority; a foreign policy grounded in the national interest; support for Israel; and resolute opposition to Islamist terror.

John Kasich, currently a distant third, pitches himself as a moderate, flexible conservative, steeped in fiscal rectitude, and likely to play well in a general election. Though he boasts a solid resume and polls well among independents and Democrats, his prospects for being anything other than a spoiler are minimal....

'NeverTrumps' should support Ted Cruz, or Jeb, or Carly, or John, or Mitt, or McCain, or Ryan, or Pelosi, or Soros, or Donohue, or Boehner, or McConnell, or Clinton the Witch, as all will continue to bring us GLOBALISM.

I have to wonder at what point our dear leaders will stoop to buying the delegates.

And if this is how it works, there is no reason what so ever to pretend that we have primary elections. They can ‘select 2,472 delegates and have a private party at a Marriot Resort and they can select our next potus.

No need to waste hundreds of millions of dollars.
No need to spend a year on the campaign trail.
No need to take everyone’s hard earned donations.
No need to have volunteers sacrificing their time.
No need to jam the TV with non-stop terrible ads.
And, lest we forget...
No need for a young man to die traveling to the Iowa caucus to volunteer (Carson.)

What a wasted pathetic party we have pledged to support.
They want your time and your money, just not your vote!

GOPe needs your TIME and all your MONEY, just not your VOTE

That is what I do not understand.

These people have been told countless times that the establishment will not allow cruz to the White house and yet they still support the establishment.
Mind boggling.

(posting again for those who missed it)

You can show a Cruz supporter the current list of women but it's up in the air if any of them gave him chlamydia trachomatis.

Even though a woman (or women) have not come forward as yet to confirm these rumors of infidelity, Cruz now finds himself in the precarious position of having a lifelong cloud of cheating hanging over his head.

And worse still, if Cruz by some chance wins the general election in November, we'd then have a President -whose past- will forever be associated with that of a cheating husband. Not an enviable position for a United States President.

2VA in his defense posts thread a whole lot anyhow even when he’s not pimping Tedley

He and seek and find are big thread posters even in slow times

So likely not a paid Cruz operative

But likely in collusion with other posters

He has also said he is not #nevertrump

Who would be coronated? Surely you’re not referring to Trump. He’s been beaten up, dragged through the mud, everything but exiled and they’re working on that.

Cruz on the other hand is treated with kid gloves, no hard questions, no criticisms, just the ringing endorsements of the establishment and all media outlets.

I would ask one question of Cruz, what qualifies you to be President of the United States. He has no executive experience, no business experience, no successes in the Senate, nothing to indicate he could do the job.

Yes

2 weeks ago your writers were saying this:

... Instead, the old guard has regrouped as the Nevertrumps. Having despaired of uniting behind a candidate capable of outpolling Trump—and still wary of Ted Cruz, who seems best positioned to finish a close second—the Nevertrumps seek creative ways to impose their wisdom on a foolish nation.

Their proposals are more likely to further the divide between America’s masses and its elite than to defeat the Democratic candidate...

Yeah I got a comment or a question maybe. If Trump is so bad if he is the worst guy ever, and everybody hates him. If there is no chance for him to win. Why the #ell is every democrat and liberal rag trying to destroy him and promote Cruz? Wouldn’t you want to face the WEAKEST candidate in the general election? I sure would. Face it dude, your guy Cruz is a stooge, a patsy a dupe.

They want him to take out Trump and you are playing ball with the GOPe team.

It’s called a campaign, not a coronation.
==

Yes, and it’s over, except for the VP pick.

Reality, like it or not.

Trump will have 1100-1300 delegates, next closest is Cruz with 700-800/ GoPe is not suicidal/ Trump wins on the first ballot if neede/ GoPe negotiate their choice for VP.

Cruz needs GoPe backing for VP of he’s out. Guaranteed

BECAUSE:
TRumps FL and OH beat down of Cruz, ended any chance he had. Thats right Trump’s margin over Cruz just in those states @1,000,000 voters or pissed off voters if Trump gets dumped. GoPe knows this, they want to hold on to senate and house seats.

Trump faces 24/7 negative press from every source, along with the Republican Party “leaders” who have formed opposition groups. Top that off with hundreds of millions spent against him in advertising.

Cruz would wither in less than a week in the face of that opposition. As it is, the average voter already sees him as a fringe candidate, and those of us who he has maligned as being low information voters see him as what he really is.

Cruz has gotten a free pass for now, no matter how you try to spin it.
