Cruz: At A Contested Convention Rubio, Kasich Delegates Will Come To Us Not Trump
Breitbart ^ | April 1, 2016 | Pam Key

Posted on 04/01/2016 9:57:58 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Friday on Fox New Channel’s “The O’Reilly Factor,” Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said if no candidate gets the 1,237 delegates needed to secure the nomination by the Republican convention this summer than at a contested convention, the Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) delegates will come to him, not Donald Trump.

Cruz said, “The only way to win the Republican nomination is to earn a majority of the delegates and that is what I believe we’re going to do, either in the states leading up to the convention, or if we get to the convention. One of the easiest ways to understand why we are in such a strong position in the convention is if Donald and I both have a ton of delegates, the question then becomes where do the Rubio delegates go? Where do the Kasich delegates go? I believe the overwhelming majority of them come to us and we will win a majority of the delegates who have been elected by the people and will win the nomination.”

"if Donald Trump has the vast majority of votes from the millions of voters across then nation then he should be nominatated"

if Trump, Cruz, or Kasich has a majority (50+%) of votes from the elected delegates from across then nation then he should be nominated (not nominatated).

Cruz is living in a dream world.

If Trump doesn’t win it outright, he will have close to the magic number.

Cruz will not. Cruz will have to get almost all the other delegates to come to him.

Besides, if GOPe is going to reject Trump, they won’t hesitate to reject Cruz too.

Vet, if this does become a contested convention, the GOP will chuck your guy out the window like a used rubber at a drive-in movie.
He’s a bright guy and must understand that fundamental fact of politics in 2016. They would be running a full court press on Cruz, they would hate him as much as Trump, if he were in the lead. The GOP will do anything to toss both of them.
It’s incredible that he can say that stuff with a straight face.

Its time to unleash Ted’s mistresses. Where is Gloria Allred when we need her?

"he will have close to the magic number."

That's really decisive in horseshoes, as well as nominating conventions.....

Is he actually that delusional, or is he just ‘wishcasting’.... Or is he just trying to fool the suckers into sending him more money?

Cruz is such an r-selected strategist whereas Trump is a k-selected strategist. #evolutionarystrategy

Rove has said as much. So has Preibus when he’s “explaining” to us dummies how candidates are selected.

That, FR friend, is some graphic metaphor! even cringe worthy, some would say. A question - who in this day and age even knows what a drive-in might be. Are these still in your neck of the woods?
Most local ones here have become used car dealers, and other places of business JMHO (carry on!):-)

The GOPe and their gameplaying

Trump will get 1237. He’s at about the two-thirds mark. Whereas, Cruz is barely a third of the way there.

All this talk about contested convention is to plant doubt in the voter and plant the suggestion that Cruz still has relevancy. Even with all of the fallen off candidates’ delegates, Cruz still can’t make the math.

It’s time to stop beating a dead horse and join Trump.

If Trump is guaranteed to get a majority, why are you trying to attract more support for him? Sounds like you know he doesn’t currently have the support to get over the hump.

These guys are all bought and paid for-except Trump.

Cruz and Hillary take money and orders from the same globalist, America-haters.

If twitter is any indicator of popularity, Trump definitely has it...I was actually surprised he had over a million more than Hillary, who has been in politics forever.

Twitter Followers:

@realDonaldTrump : 7.3M

@HillaryClinton : 5.8M

@tedcruz : 1M

@JohnKasich : 266k

You need personality to attract followers on Twitter. And Trump has personality — and thus Twitter followers — up the ying yang.
