Cruz: At A Contested Convention Rubio, Kasich Delegates Will Come To Us Not Trump
Breitbart ^ | April 1, 2016 | Pam Key

Friday on Fox New Channel’s “The O’Reilly Factor,” Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said if no candidate gets the 1,237 delegates needed to secure the nomination by the Republican convention this summer than at a contested convention, the Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) delegates will come to him, not Donald Trump.

Cruz said, “The only way to win the Republican nomination is to earn a majority of the delegates and that is what I believe we’re going to do, either in the states leading up to the convention, or if we get to the convention. One of the easiest ways to understand why we are in such a strong position in the convention is if Donald and I both have a ton of delegates, the question then becomes where do the Rubio delegates go? Where do the Kasich delegates go? I believe the overwhelming majority of them come to us and we will win a majority of the delegates who have been elected by the people and will win the nomination.”

Great and you, Cruz, will summarily go on to lose the general election,

if you

“win” the GOP nomination in that fashion.

Keep on dreaming. They'll go to whoever the GOPe tells them to. The GOPe hates Cruz almost as much as Trump and they see him as a tool to defeat Trump. If Cruz were ahead they would try to use Trump to beat Cruz.

It's good to have delusions, I guess.

Wasn't long ago the Cruz campaign was officially saying their path to overtaking Trump ran through Arizona. How'd that work out?

It's hard not to get greater than 1237 delegates when you have "the vast majority" of the votes.

Trump isn't getting the vast majority at this point nor is he getting a majority.

“If we get to the convention”? That’s an interesting word choice,

Keep on dreaming. They'll go to whoever the GOPe tells them to.

Some percentage of the candidates' delegates are picked by the candidates and are loyal to the candidates. If Cruz and Trump control a majority of loyal delegates, then the GOPe is dead in the water.

so he think the way to become the nominee is to steel it from trump at the convention. He really doesn’t understand the anger of Conservatives

Cruz is not an NBC, and we’ll find that out when the crats press it on his nomination.

I actually had to turn OANN off tonight when they started covering Cruz at the Milwaukee GOP meeting. That delivery just gets so old, now that we know it is all an act.

If Cruz is the nominee, then the cable box goes back to COX. We only got it to see Trump in the debates.

Unfortunately, I don't think Trump is going anywhere.

The convention's his only chance now. He won't get 82% of remaining votes.
