Donald Trump likes to say he's running a campaign unlike any other. He's willing to do the things other candidates won't.
Sometimes there's a reason nobody's touching the hot stove.
Today, the GOP front-runner learned what happens when a candidate goes off-script on abortion.
The remarks came while Trump was being asked by MSNBCs Chris Matthews during a pre-taped town hall about the practical implications of banning abortion nationwide. Matthews specifically pressed Trump on the criminal consequences women would face for seeking abortions if Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion nationwide, were overturned.
This is not something you can dodge. If you say abortion is a crime or abortion is murder, you have to deal with it under the law. Should abortion be punished?" Matthews said.
"The answer is that there has to be some form of punishment," Trump said as Matthews pushed him for specifics....

The MSM is continuing the “war on women” narrative
notice during the town hall, they kept panning to the faces of women, of course the three unhappy feminists who watch Madcow
He was asked “if abortion became illegal”.
My candidate never contributed to Hillary, Harry Reid, the Clinton Foundation, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and a boatload of other far-left Democrats.
How in the hell would he know what he was asked with Chrissy on meds and literally beating Donald to death with a verbal stream of crap.
As for the abortion question, they are always setup where no Republican can answer it without coming across badly. Then they had a really feminine man asking questions about transgenders and homosexual marriages. That's when I shut the TV off and put on some music!
Republican candidates need to say “next question” when asked anything about abortion.
He didn’t have to. His wife’s employer took care of those things for him. That is what cronies do and there is no greater crony than Goldman Sachs.
Now that I'll believe. He can't even afford a decent van:
Yes so true. The candidates need to keep it to terms of areas they as president, would control or take the lead in.
Stay away from the social crap and focus on making America great again.
Focus on the Constitution, not the whiny butted diversions.
Geezuss
Trump always refers to the media as “the most dishonest people” and the crowd cheers. WaPo, WSJ, LA Times, MSNBC, and increasingly some at Fox News are the reason why.
I guess if a candidate is going to screw up and misspeak, it would be better to do it on Chris Matthews show than on a show and channel that people actually watch.
I guess they need something to rush the story that the prosecutor in Florida is tied to Clinton off the front page. This is rather weak.
you’ll see it again in a campaign commercial for Hillary on the fall.
He needs to think just a little bit more before he answers.
it’s good that he’s not a politician but he needs to be a little more careful.
I've also been thinking about how Cruz, who played off or ignored Donald's remarks for so long......why now did he decide to speak out against Trump for these now?
Well most men would speak up if their wife was attacked directly by their political opponent...and that was the line Trump crossed.....but I also think that Cruz clearly saw that Trump was more than willing stoop as low as he wanted to..even with Cruz himself...and that changed the dynamics then and there.... Up until then things were still reasonably civil between the two. Cruz made it very clear in this election cycle...kids and wives were off limits.....he just showed Trump indeed he meant that and the the consequences of crossing that line look like Cruz may very well not support Trump if he's the winner.
My candidate didn’t vote for corker, TPA and TPP and he was born and lived all of his life in the USA, not Canada. My candidate is also not a professional politician who worked his entire life since college in government jobs throughout the Bush admin.
See, two can play this game!
