A series of new polls released Sunday show Sen. Ted Cruz surging in key Tuesday battleground states, including Illinois, Ohio and Florida.
In Illinois, a new CBS Battleground Tracker poll has real estate mogul Donald Trump and Cruz now locked in a statistical dead head, 38 to 34, for first place.
In the NBC/WSJ poll for Illinois, Trump leads with 34 percent, with Cruz close at 25 percent. Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Sen. Marco Rubio come in at 21 and 16 percent, respectively.
In Ohio, Cruz is now nipping at the heels of both Kasich and Trump for first place.
The new CBS poll has Trump and John Kasich tied at 33 percent, with Cruz now at 27 percent.
A Fox News poll taken earlier in the week had Cruz at 19, suggesting conservatives in the Buckeye State are moving strongly behind Cruz as the main challenger to Trump....

Both are open primary, so maybe not so much. NC maybe, but Trump is up +20.
I’m curious, what do polls like this expect people to do? Expect Trump voters to be disappointed to stay home, or vote for someone else??
I would find that odd because as a Trump supporter, I would look at this poll and do anything I can to get my a*s to the polls.
A surge for Cruz in Ohio kills Kasich in Ohio, so GOOD!
Florida is false. He is splitting the vote with Rubio.

Ok, I voted for Cruz here in NH but this is just plain funny...it caught me off guard ;)

I’m in Illinois, Cruz will get my vote as will the opponent of John Shimkus.

Is ths the same NBC/WSJ pollsters who predicted that Cruz would sweep SC & the evangelical votes? You are truly grasping at straws as anything connected to the WSJ is merely put out to shape public opinion, they have been proven, time & time again to be wholly inaccurate.
They forgot to tell Boehner that!
It must be very difficult to pull the "poorly educated" voters Trump loves. Most of them probably don't even have an attention span long enough to answer (let alone understand) the questions.
