A new 20,000-voter straw poll by the Senate Conservatives Fund shows Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) out in front of the other 2016 candidates with 65 per cent of the vote.

Donald Trump came in second, with 25 per cent support, even though he holds the lead in delegates ahead of the four March 8 presidential primary races.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), banking on a win in his home state of Florida, came in fourth place, with a mere 3.11 per cent support. Ohio Gov. John Kasich barely beat out Rubio with 3.44 per cent.

"With over 20,000 ballots cast, Ted Cruz was the clear winner with 65% of the vote. Donald Trump finished in second place with 25% of the vote," read a message from SCF President Ken Cuccinelli II....

Look who took the poll....then it’s easier to figure out how they got these results

Yeah, lets throw up another Drudge poll that has been swamp voted before the debate has even ended and tout it as seriously showing Trump crushing others in the debates. /s

Polls that are not open to internet dilution tend to be derided here on FR for some reason.

That poll is by a Republican PAC. Do you think they’re not going to favor their own...and the money they’re spending?

Yep. Bought Ted’s book, ironically titled “A Time For Truth”. He went gutter with Jeff Roe in IA and downhill from there.

I’d like a refund.

Color me shocked. /s It is protection money. In 2009 he was building a golf course in Virginia and gave $25K to both Gubernatorial campaigns. Do you think he agreed with both guys equally or perhaps he just wanted to make sure he didn’t get screwed over after the election? I think it is a shame the business class has to pay protection money to the political class. I would wager that most business people wish they did not have to give professional politician leeches money to keep them off their backs. He has donated pretty evenly between ‘rats and Republicans over the years. I take that to mean the ‘pubbies are probably not much cleaner than the ‘rats are. I think it is actually surprising that he has given as much as he has to the republicans since NYC is so heavily ‘rat controlled

So, in summary:

Trump sold out his country for personal gain. Specifically from the link, Obamacare.

BTW: the view that all businessmen have to be corrupt and violate their integrity to be successful is a liberal one.

They don’t.

He supported the people he needed to get stuff done and keep politicians off his back. That is what all large business concerns do. Ever wonder why you won’t find a business worth as much as his that has made no political contributions? The answer is that they are targets for whoever has power.

Do you support the SC ruling on gay marriage, or even think it is Constitutional? That is exactly how many Americans, myself included, feel about a Canadian running for POTUS. It won’t matter what the SC says on this issue any more than it matters that a great many Americans don’t see 2 men in a true marriage. So to say that he is a constituionalist is like saying that someone who advocates for gay marriage is a Conservative.

I did not call him corrupt. It is just a cost of doing business to pay the political class leeches off. If what I am saying is such BS then perhaps you can enlighten me on why he gave both sides of the 2009 Va. governor’s race $25K when he was building a golf course in that state? You know the answer and it doesn’t fit your perception.
