No Love Lost Between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump Supporters
The New York Times' First Draft ^ | February 19, 2016 | Trip Gabriel

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Speaking just six miles apart on Friday morning, Donald J. Trump and Senator Ted Cruz of Texas renewed their bitter personal feud, while their supporters echoed the candidates' language and themes - a sign that the bitterness between the two men has now seeped deeply into the feelings of voters.

Mr. Trump called Mr. Cruz "the biggest liar I've ever seen," a line he has been pushing all week. Trump supporters, some of whom said they had once considered supporting the Texas senator, largely agreed with Mr. Trump's harsh assessment.

"I'm very disappointed in Ted Cruz because of the way he's going after other opponents, and some of the things I don't think were actually fair," said Ken Ivey, a retired contractor who waited in line to hear Mr. Trump.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Cruz mocked Mr. Trump's vague generalities. "It's easy to say 'make America great again,' " he told supporters in a room overlooking the ocean. "Do you understand what made America great in the first place?"

An attendee, Mike Loebs, echoed his candidate, complaining of Mr. Trump, "He's all yadda yadda yadda."

"He has nothing specific," added Mr. Loebs, who retired after 30 years in the Navy. "I think he's a bully. If you don't agree with him, you're fat, dumb or ugly."(continued)

Trumbama is a liberal trying to pass himself off as conservative. Most of his supporters lack the intelectual gravitas to recognize his pandering for what it is.
======================\
“INTELECTUAL’ LOL

Oh really? Thanks for the stereotypical insult. I will be sure to pass it along to my spouse who has a PhD (in a science field). May I ask your IQ or level of “intellectual gravitas?”

On a side note, if you are going to accuse Trump supporters of lacking intellectual gravitas, I SUGGEST YOU LEARN TO SPELL INTELLECTUAL!!!!!!!!!! SHEESH

That Trump/Cruz will invariably knock each other out in mutually assured destruction, allowing Rubio to snatch the nomination.

He's got a Canada problem, eh? Hoser needs to sort it.

That’s what happened the last time. Romney wasn’t conservative enough so they stayed home and refused to vote. I don’t see Trump supporters doing that but I sure see Cruz voters doing it.

The ‘principled Christians’ that gave Obama another four years is why Franklin Graham is out there on a campaign to get them to vote this time even if they don’t get their way with who THEY think is God’s choice.

Probably some truth to that. I hope he succeeds.

I detest the way Cruz campaigns too. I am voting for Trump.

Honestly, I don’t think Romney would have been so much different, but I did hold my nose & vote for him.
Big deal though. 0bama blatantly stole the election & the RNC just rolled over for it.

I’m not sure I can do that for Cruz, though. Seriously, that bunch he’s mixed up with are about this >< close to Sharia. Actually, from a financial & economic perspective, Sharia might be better.

Ditto the wealth redistribution thing like the commies. On ‘’social issues’’, they are the same.

Read up on it if you haven’t. It’s spooky stuff.

And Cruz is NOT who he professes to be At. All. on any level (Obviously not smart, constitutionalist, moral, or Christian- certainly not in any mainstream way).

If both Cruz and Trump supporters know that attacking each other means Mutually Assured Destruction, neither side will win, this will encourage both sides to calm down and play nice

The Cruzers will never abide by that. I have seen so many say they'll take their football home and pout if their guy doesn't win.

Now both sides do need to calm down, there are crazy posters on both sides that are way over the top.

I used to prefer Cruz a month ago, but I always thought Trump would be someone I would support if he won. Likewise, now that I prefer Trump, I would support Cruz if he won.

I like both for very different reasons. I dislike both for very different reasons.

I do hope this is over by Super Tuesday, or we might be in big trouble.

Vote Trump.

If you perceive him this way, can you imagine how the left envisions him? This is why he couldn’t possibly get any cross over votes. If he would possibly get the nomination, the left will portray him in a cave with a turban like he’s Osama.

Yes, indeedy.

If this Seven Mountains business goes mainstream news, people are going to flip out. And they should.

“The internecine warfare is bad on the Republican side but on the Democrat side the fighting is absolutely desperate.”

Never thought of that. I can imagine it’s something like this:

Hillary supporter: Hillary’s going to give us free transsexual counseling!
Bernie supporter: Oh, yeah! Well, Bernie says we get free comfort insoles!
Hillary supporter: Oh, yeah? Free pantsuits!
Bernie supporter: Free yarmulkes!
Hillary supporter: I’m not jewish!
Bernie supporter: racist!
Hillary supporter: sexist!

I didn’t know what you were talking about so I did a search, ‘Ted Cruz & Seven Mountains’........ OMGosh! I had no idea. I am no stranger to hard core preaching but this is not good. While Obama got away with going to and being associated with Rev. Wright and his radical mess, they will never give Cruz a pass!

They've been reading FR.

Exactly! The level of discourse around here has deteriorated to unrecognizable levels. We've all had flaming exchanges from time to time, but now it's every thread the moment someone says anything the slightest bit against a favored candidate.

I'm for Cruz, but will support Trump or Rubio if either gets the nomination despite the problems I have with them. But I'm looking at what's going on with FR plus the way someone like Sarah Palin has gone from being a conservative supporter to a nasty single candidate supporter I no longer respect because of what and how she's saying it, not who she's supporting and I have trouble seeing any way of having unified support behind any of the top three.

Most people don’t. That’s what I’m howlin & hollerin about.
Please spread the word. Our country & our way of life depends on it. Maybe our very lives if one of them decides we’re the “wrong kind” of Christian.

aside: Neither am I a stranger to it. Some of my relatives are ‘’hardshell’’ Church of Christ. I’m guessing stuff like no dancing & no mixed bathing (swimming pool type). And of course no drinking or smoking.

There’s no way something like this won’t come out from the MSM since he’s running as a republican. The only way it won’t is if he doesn’t look like he getting close to being the nominee.

I suspect what's going on here is nothing compared to what was going on in the late 1700's. They weren't exactly hugging eachother.

Indeed. People forget.

Just like the communists & Bill Ayers types who have been undermining our country out of view, these people need to be exposed also.

I’ve known about this kind of thing since the mid 70s. My family was seriously & irrevocably damaged by it. I thought they’d faded away. Imagine my surprise. . .
Gen-tle-men, I am hot under the collar now.
