MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Speaking just six miles apart on Friday morning, Donald J. Trump and Senator Ted Cruz of Texas renewed their bitter personal feud, while their supporters echoed the candidates' language and themes - a sign that the bitterness between the two men has now seeped deeply into the feelings of voters.
Mr. Trump called Mr. Cruz "the biggest liar I've ever seen," a line he has been pushing all week. Trump supporters, some of whom said they had once considered supporting the Texas senator, largely agreed with Mr. Trump's harsh assessment.
"I'm very disappointed in Ted Cruz because of the way he's going after other opponents, and some of the things I don't think were actually fair," said Ken Ivey, a retired contractor who waited in line to hear Mr. Trump.
Earlier in the day, Mr. Cruz mocked Mr. Trump's vague generalities. "It's easy to say 'make America great again,' " he told supporters in a room overlooking the ocean. "Do you understand what made America great in the first place?"
An attendee, Mike Loebs, echoed his candidate, complaining of Mr. Trump, "He's all yadda yadda yadda."
"He has nothing specific," added Mr. Loebs, who retired after 30 years in the Navy. "I think he's a bully. If you don't agree with him, you're fat, dumb or ugly."(continued)

“This REALLY sucks. i’m an Iowan and heavily disabled so couldn’t get to the caucuses but when the general comes around guess I’ll vote for Cruz.”
You won’t have Cruz as a choice, as Trump is going to be the Republican candidate for Prez, not Cruz. Trump is on the cusp of winning the Primaries, by a wide margin.
As I said on the eve of Iowa... lets not count our chickens before the hatch...
Right now GOPe hacks like Rick Wilson are on twitter celebrating like Rubio has already won.
We have Cruz supporters on this forum and Twitter acting like the world is over...
Something is going on in SC and the Rubio people are over-joyed and that gives me pause...
“If we donât get it together say hello to nominee Marco Rubio.”
Post of the Day. Finally, some sanity.
Bitter as they may be to one another, either would be far and away better than the other choices. I just pray we don’t let infighting give us another Romney or McCain by default.
Cruz supporters don’t care. They’ll either stay home or write Cruz in and vote ‘on principle’, thus their conscience is clear. Because apparently practical reality means nothing to them.
Bitterness? One particular rabid Trump supporter called all Cruz supporters “...evil and immoral...”. That’s WAY beyond bitter, that’s total derangement. The only way that kind of attitude makes any sense is if was the Donald himself that said it.
Politicans got us into this fix and it looks like only businessmen can get us out of it.
The only sticking point I would have with any of the R's would be Rubio and his gang of 8 history. That was a revolting deal. Illegal felons got a free stay with no jail time. All deportations were to stop instantly and each illegal was to be provided an attorney to help fight the deportation. And a LOT of other truly ugly features.
I'd have to think long and hard about casting that vote.
How can they say that? It’s been nothing but kind and gentle...
Everyone seems to think that the current MUDSLINGING is something new. The public has a very short memory.
I’m sitting here thinking about the 50%-60% tax rate that’s going to be stolen from them to pay down this kind of deficit/debt.
err stolen from my grandchildren. They’re 6, 9 and 13 now. What’s the deficit/debt going to be like in 25 yrs? 40-50 trillion?
Dissapointed in Cruz because of the way he has gone after opponents. Then he’s supporting Trump. Really? Really?
My only request is that the Cruz supporters, and I am one, just less so that Trump ... if name calling is to be your sole form of argument, at least come up with funny misspellings of Trump's name.
It's funny that the Cruz supporters say 'if you disagree with Trump, your called fat, ugly etc.
My experience is that the Cruz supporters here behave exactly as they accuse Trump of behaving. Only, while it's an aspect of Trump's debate style, it's their only debate style.
And, they are not good at it. In fact, it's as if they subconsciously want to be him but since they can't, settle for a dilluted imitation.
First he has to get the nomination, and as long as he is no where near 50% it ain’t gonna happen. Had he not burned Cruz so badly, he may have salvaged Cruz’s delegates. Now if Cruz comes in third, he will pledge them to Rubio. Cruz or Rubio as things stand today. Trump may have the most delegates in a six party field, but he won’t as people bow out.
Trumbama is a liberal trying to pass himself off as conservative. Most of his supporters lack the intelectual gravitas to recognize his pandering for what it is.
Amen, Brother.
Your typical rabid Trump cultist isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer.
I read Rick Wilson’s tweets. All I saw was wishful thinking
Google "Herman Cain presidential campaign."
I will see your paid off Goldman Sachs loan and raise you bank of America, Goldman Sachs, about 50 other loans and two Saudi Roialty bailouts!
