Trump's Morning Joe town hall to compete directly with Cruz, Rubio on CNN

The event will take place at the same time as a CNN town hall featuring fellow GOP presidential candidates Ben Carson, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz. CNN announced its event Saturday.

Scarborough had harsh words for CNN last week, after the network reported that the "Morning Joe" hosts were giving favorable treatment to Trump, and that MSNBC officials were concerned about the trend.

MSNBC also responded by issuing a statement that denied some of the accusations put forth by CNN, including that Brzezinski and Scarborough celebrated the New Hampshire primary results with Trump in his hotel room.

It should be noted that Morning Joe is off to a great start in this election year, the statement added. In January, the show had 28% more viewers than CNN's morning show last month. And thus far in February, more people are watching Morning Joe than CNN.

I have four children, and 9 grandchildren. I have yet to have one try and keep me from kissing their cheeks.

It is Teddy's choice to parade those children to try and convince people of his "good family values" just like he tried to assert his Christianity as a reason to vote for him. He is a slick lawyer who happened to get hired by the State of Texas to represent them in the Senate. He is not even doing the job he was hired to do, missing meetings and votes so he can campaign. That is the epitome of hypocrisy, but Teddy Bares don't care.

He can likely never get elected again. I doubt Texans are that stupid. They get to see the guy with all the warts, and he wan't have Sarah Palin to help him again. I doubt he will even carry the state in the primary. But, if he does, it will likely be the only one after Iowa. He has burned too many bridges!

I donated early to Cruz. I wish I could get a refund. Hell, I wish I could get off his mailing list! The incessant appeals have gotten ridiculous.

Ok, you have a choice watch three candidates for president, or watch the reality star running for president, who will the average undecided voted watch. Now me I would watch the Cruz Rubio one, then watch the next night to compare. Except trump is changing the dynamic to keep those voters from making an informed decision.

Seems like Trump is afraid to give other candidates the oxygen to explain their positions. Like he needs to have all the attention for himself.... It seems like trump is afraid to let his ideas go head to head with other peoples. Tell me how is one supposed to make informed decisions when you can’t have both facts. Trump isn’t preventing the other candidates from getting their message out.

Take yourself as an example. I expect you will be glued to the channel with Cruz, where he can outline his positions for you and everyone else watching.

He gets to do that without interruption (more or less), something that wouldn’t happen if Trump was there. By way of proof, look at the circuses called debates. We learn little to nothing on those.

What Trump is doing is campaigning by being on another channel at the same time. He’s daring viewers.

I’m reasonably sure he thinks that the Cruz show will be too dull for most viewers, and they will switch to the Trump Show.
