“Why might a Republican from a purple state, whose seat is up this year by the way, prefer Rubio to Cruz or Trump?”
A senate “bro” and shared religion.
“I would at least have expected him to act like a gentleman.”
Like Bush? And face it, Cruz was wormy and used disinformation to sway enough votes by convincing people that their candidate had just dropped out. Very edgy and all. And..... he taught me not to believe a word he says.
Trump is right that the Iowa election was subjected to fraud. Trump is wrong to have outrage and not mastery of the details of an accusation.
Cruz is right to apologize to Carson. He is right to try to turn the corner on this because the discussion itself diminishes his Iowa win.
Cruz is wrong to attack Carson’s indignation since he just turned him into a sympathetic candidate by apologizing to him.
Rubio is right to let those 2 shoot each other.
Rubio is wrong to think Bush is not dangerous to him.
Carson is right to push this legally and for an RNC rebuke of the Cruz campaign.
Carson is wrong to say anything that loses the moral high ground , but also wrong to be meek sheep on this.
The speed and breadth of Rubio’s rise over the last week is actually quite remarkable. The damage Trump, Cruz and Carson are doing to each other can be directly measured by Rubio’s improving polling numbers. Jeb and Christie will give Rubio all they’ve got in NH as this will be Christie’s last stand and Jeb’s second to last stand. We will see if they can slow Rubio. My money says they won’t and Rubio will be THE story moving into SC. All he has to do is place or show in NH and the media will take it from there.
We’ll take it because Beck has a significant following and will bring many voters into the Cruz camp.
Toomey doesn’t have that kind of following and his 2A shenanigans are a major turn off for many R voters.
Yep. They need to aim at the Rats and Rubio.
US Senators making endorsements for either Cruz or Rubio at this point is significant. It's another indication that folks really don't like Ted Cruz.
Last election, didn't Cruz promise us that when the Republicans had a majority in the US Senate, he'd become the leader of a conservative coalition that would be a force in supporting our ideals? Instead we got TPA and it seems that Cruz doesn't have hardly anyone who looks up to him for leadership.
Concur: establishment will settle on Rubio now.
