ccording to the transcript of Donald Trump's interview with Scott Pelley on 60 Minutes, Mr. Trump favors a single payer health care plan in certain situations. During the interview, Pelley asked Mr. Trump what his plan was to replace Obamacare would look like. Mr. Trump responded, saying "I am going to take care of everybody. I donât care if it costs me votes or not. Everybodyâs going to be taken care of much better than theyâre taken care of now." When Pelley pressed Mr. Trump further about who would pay for this coverage, Mr. Trump said "the governmentâs gonna pay for it."

I’m working for TRUMP; against the CRUZ-AID drinkers, who keep posting everything they can, in an attempt to start FLAME WARS !
All this is doing, is making the vast majority of Trump; supporters, who had Cruz as their second choice, to decide that they won’t vote for Cruz, EVER, for ANYTHING,and to work all that much harder to get Trump; the nomination and elected president. You’re doing a great job in ruining your candidate forever more.

You do understand that we’re in a primary election season, don’t you. If you drift into becoming a part of a “cult of personality”, you’re setting yourself up to be bitterly disappointed or being led into something that you say you are not.
I've seen their kind forever, here, on FR.
And IF you don't agree with them, 100%, then YOU are a COMMIE, or a MARXIST, or worse.
Yes, just about every Trump; supporter had Cruz as their second choice. But the Cruz trolls have ruined that for many.
No, you’re idiotically wrong. Most folks had healthcare insurance. About 85%. And most folks were moderately satisfied. The whole thing DID need help, but under deathcare, a few more folks are “covered”, but middle class people CAN’T AFFORD TO USE IT. Premiums plus health savings account payments for my family of four are $20,000 per year! And we have a SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLAR DEDUCTIBLE! ! Most folks were previously satisfied. Now NO ONE WHO IS MIDDLE CLASS OR BETTER IS SATISFIED!!! ONLY AN ANTI AMERICAN COMMUNIST ASS WOULD THINK THINGS ARE BETTER WITH DEATHCARE BY THE COMMUNIST KENYAN ANTICHRIST! !!
Not totally 100%, yet.........
Like I said, read my first reply to you to know my response here:
His own words support both. In the same interview in this caseTrump's support for single payer goes back further and longer than his private sector statements.
He's for both. Whatever you want to hear.
I think they want Trump supporters to use ad hominems. It’s interesting that the vast majority of the time it’s anti Trumpers use them first. Sure sign of losing the narrative.
It may have been a mess before, but it is far worse now.
Back in 2010, family of five, $7,000 deductible and high co-pays. I think it was considered “catastophic” insurance at the time. $345 a month.
Flash forward to this month. $10,000 deductible, higher co-pays, and we just got our new bill - $1,320 a month! And we know we are already in for some big bills this year. (But hey - at least we’ll meet the deductible!)
My wife opened the new insurance bill just last week (went from $1,040 to the $1,320). She was in tears. “Paying $1,320 a month. For WHAT!?” In my mind I thought “so the ‘poor’ people can have free health insurance.” I didn’t dare say it though.
I’m guessing we’ll spend almost $30,000 in medical expenses next year. Another few years at that rate and we’ll probably be able to get the “free” insurance.
FUBO
Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are easily my favorite candidates.
Either of them as POTUS would be 1000x better than Clinton, Sanders, or O’Whatshisname.

I’m with you but some FReepers (among both Cruz and Trump supporters) have lost sight of that. It’s very unfortunate.
This whole thing is getting SO damned out of hand, perhaps FR should just close up shop, before the PURGE begins.
A Democratic president pushing a Democratic agenda will be resisted by the Republicans in Congress. A Republican president advancing a Democratic agenda will be supported by both the Democrats and the Republicans in Congress. Have you forgotten the presidencies of George Bush and Richard Nixon?
I agree we disagree on supporting Trump's candidacy. But, I think I've supported my interpretation logically; I don't see your argument doing so.
His own words say nothing whatsoever about establishing universal healthcare.
We've come full circle to the start of your derangement.
“Better a Democratic president than a Republican president”
ROFL. Did you get lost on your way to DU?
Say hello to the bald lesbian and her rapist husband for me.
In his book “The America We Deserve” Trump touts single payer
>>”His own words say nothing whatsoever about establishing universal healthcare.”
Unless you count: “Everybody’s got to be covered.”
I am not saying I prefer Obamacare as a final solution.
I prefer it be fixed.
All I am saying is nobody has fixed our healthcare system, forever. Nobody. It is the most expensive anywhere, in any country, around the entire world. Yet you’re thinking 85% coverage is adequate?
It is not. No way. We need to FIX healthcare. Not returning to the prior mess which was even worse, for many.
That is what Trump is saying, and he is completely right.
He is right.
I’m just saying the old system was a complete mess.
Far, far too many people were not covered. Healthcare is FAR TOO EXPENSIVE to not be covered. Destructively so.
It simply got out of hand. Obamacare addressed that. It wasn’t the end solution, but what we had before was even worse.

Yes, Obamacare saved us $2,500 a year on our insurance costs and, if we liked our doctors, we got to keep our doctors. Of course, that is not true...the Obama fairy tale is rapidly turning into a nightmare...though some do not see that yet.
I think the healthcare debate is not as important as stopping Hilary Clinton. The next President will have an opportunity to appoint up to, and possibly more over two terms, at least four Supremes. The Supreme Court will be a 7-2 court for whomever wins the Presidency and it will be like that for the next 30-40 years. I don’t think anybody here wants a secular Supreme court that is hostile to Judeo -Christianity and open about it.
Yes, allowing Obamacare was a mistake and the healthcare system could have been fixed by allowing people maximum freedom to choose their healthcare and, possibly open up intra-state competition, but we can’t win every battle.
Thank you! A great breakdown.
I am NOT "drawn into a cult of personality"; n ever have been and not about to start at my age.
I neither impressed nor repulsed by pols, the famous, nor any other group/personage.
You should worry about others here; I'm the very last one to fall into any "traps".
