The American people won't elect a vulgar/bullying/blowhard for President even if the ultra-right wing of the Republican Party manages to nominate him. We have never before seen the kind of campaign we are seeing this year within the Republican Party. All their chickens are coming home to roost. The worst excesses and policies of those running as Tea Party candidates in the past few years are combined in the two leading candidates, Donald Trump and Canadian born Rafael 'Ted' Cruz.
Trump and Cruz are espousing policies and positions appealing to the worst instincts in our nation in an effort to heighten people's fears over terrorism and the economy. They are playing to existing racism and the intolerance of the religious right in America. They think nothing of lying to excite a crowd or gain a vote.
Trump is speaking to the least educated in the nation. Cruz is speaking to them and evangelical voters consciously displaying a total lack of respect for our founding fathers who understood what they were doing when they opted for a clear separation of church and state. They understood people came to America to escape religious persecution and to be allowed to practice religion, or not practice it, as they saw fit and not have government pass laws favoring the beliefs of one religion over another....

That’s why they won’t vote for Billery.
But America did elect a vulgar blowhard, twice. First in 1992 and second in 2008.
But we did elect a vulgar/bullying blowhard, twice. Well, I didn’t vote for him but enough people did to put him in office twice.
Hopefully, a Trump or Cruz presidency will go a long way towards repairing the damage and steering the country towards sanity and a strong economy.
Don’t worry folks. I figure I’ll announce my candidacy about 3-5 days before the primaries. Somewhere in the range of the average voter’s attention span. Then, of course, there will be months of pandering and palm-greasing and kissing babies before the actual elections. But I have a great team of lackeys lined up to help with that.
I narrowly missed being elected Pope, didn’t score well in the Miss Universe contest, but I’ll settle for President.
And speaking of Ted Cruz, note that the author described him as “Canadian born.” Liberals are on a mission to find something to wreck his candidacy, so they constantly bring up the question of his eligibility. Again, they are trying to plant seeds of doubt among the Senator's supporters. Those seeds aren't growing.
OOooooo! big man on campus
`Trump is speaking to the least educated in the nation`
Weird. I have a 4.0 Masters from the oldest engineering college in the US... (Ivy league, but I'm honestly ashamed of that)
I get what Peter is attempting here. He's a groupthink mindguard. As such he must declare all opposition as too stupid or evil to warrent negotiation.
Hey Peter, you didn't think I studied Janis? Were you counting on your own limited education to carry you through your stinking lying life.

You've been Pchlonged!
Peter packed a lot of hate in there. I’m sure that’s not all he’s packed.
Hardly. Bush/Cheney is as Double Derangement Syndrome as it gets.
We have now a shiftless, lying, deviant, despicable, imposter
We elected an ignorant, race baiting, American hating, jerk, so anything is possible.
Well Peter, if you are so confident that the American people will not elect Trump then what are you worried about? You should be happy that the Democrat will be a shoo in according to you.
From the headline I assumed this article was about Hitlary Clinton
even if she would be the first woman Potus
I’m in the minority here but I do think The Donald brings a vulgar vitality and brio to this race. He’s pure Queens, the land of my birth, the borough of immigrants from Germany, Ireland, Greece, Italy, Russia and the Jews who struggled against all odds to win against the established power structure of New York City. They did that not through nicety and good manners, but through pushiness, street smarts and the good education provided by the New York Public School system up until the 60s when the Jews were pushed out of teaching and “minorities” took over. I know The Donald went to private school but he really didn’t need to - the public school system of his youth was excellent. I think we should celebrate his “vulgarity,” not run away from it.
Looks like Rosenstein is worried that the Israel haters will be swept from power before he can re-fill his victim card.
My thoughts too. The writer’s description matches Obama pretty spot on.
Why not?
We have elected a rapist (Clinton) and a communist (Obama). A ‘vulgar, bullying blowhard’ would be a net improvment.
Hey Rosenstein, go @#$@#$ yourself.
Boy, I’ve had to say that about a lot of journalists lately lol.
I thought he meant hillary
