Anyone want to help him solve this confounding mystery?
Incidentally, allow me to go on record now as predicting that Huckabee will endorse Marco Rubio once he drops out.
âFor reasons I donât fully understand, years and years of actually doing something and getting things done didnât matter,â Huckabee said of the groupâs deliberations. âAnd I donât understand that.ââ¦
Huckabee, according to sources, has often reminded [Tony] Perkins and his fellow influencers that a major reason he gave up his Fox News show and launched a 2016 campaign was because he expected to have their backing. Their decision to instead support Cruz, then, seemed to sting Huckabee personally as much as politically.
âYou know, everybody has a right to do what they want to do. But it was disappointing to me. These are guys Iâve worked with for years and years. Many of them Iâve helped with their projects and their various endeavors,â Huckabee says, shaking his head. A moment later, he adds, âBut you know, thatâs life.â(continued)

Thanks!
I believe he is an Evangelical but it’s overshadowed by his socialist/statist tendencies.
Picture our present Pope on steroids.
It's not enough to be a good Christian and a Baptist preacher.
You have to be a Conservative too.
And not one of those blasted Compassionate Conservatives.
For starter’s it was patently obvious to me that Huckabee was much more interested in money and TV fame in 2012 than the presidency, when he didn’t challenge Romney.
2012 was his best year and he opted for TV fame, a short lived radio show and fortune.
Can’t have it all, Mike.
The Huckster revealed his true colors when he tried to keep Kim Davis all to himself by converva-blocking Ted Cruz.
Love it!!!
I am sure the Dobson endorsement of Cruz stung. I like Huckabee very much. He’s a good man and far more true to the U.S. Constitution than he is given credit for being. I remember him back when he brilliantly started the “Tax Me More Fund” for anyone who wanted their taxes raised. LOL. He is good guy. I hope he endorses Cruz. I wish people would not exaggerate their criticism. He has infinitely more good about him and his positions than bad.
It is fascinating how some candidates seem to do something people don’t like and it haunts them endlessly while others are made of Teflon and get by with murder. I would say Trump is definitely Teflon. W was Teflon for a long time. Huckabee is made of some ultra sticky substance. I have heard millions of times about how he let some criminals out of jail without anyone telling the truth about the story, that he was just evening out the sentencing guidelines after the Clinton years. Bush let lots of people out of jail. Did anyone follow their later deeds? Hindsight is always 20/20. They were going to get out eventually anyway. It was terrible that the one guy murdered someone. It was a matter of time and he would have done it sooner or later. If it is so awful, remove that power from all governors.
Or actually blocking him w/ his big ol’ flabby self............
Maybe if you hate him some more that will help your candidate.
Hating or loving Huckabee neither helps or hurts anyone because he is a complete non entity. He might be on his wife’s radar, but that’s about it. For the record I don’t hate anyone ;)
Not just deep down; on the surface too.
Ditto.
A double-minded man is unstable in all of his ways, and one cannot serve two masters.
Bravo. Good analogy.
He is like a “used car salesman” with a plaid coat and a smooth sales pitch.
Basically agree. He’s not my first (or second) choice, but he is a good man who is far better than his many detractors. Sadly, we eat our own.
They’re all backing the Marxists, socialists and Muzzies these days.
Then you're a better man than I, my friend...because I do truly hate Barack Hussein Obama.
And yes, I pray daily for His guidance to help me shed such an emotion, but I just cannot work through it when a man (loose term) such as he has done the willful damage to these United States that he has done, and has not shown one bit of remorse for doing so.
Because you cannot possibly win. You have ZERO chance of winning the General election. It's hard enough to pry off a purple or blue state, but with you, we wouldn't gain a single one, and that means a total loss.
Because there is no evangelical leadership in America, at least not in the political sense.
The American Christian movement has very clearly demonstrated that it is not interested in political concerns.
The nation's transvestites have more political clout than the evangelicals.
Because he looks like Fred Flintstone? Yabba Dabba Doo!
