At the beginning of this year â back when the notion that Donald Trump might dominate the presidential race was a dystopian scenario as unimaginably remote as The Man in the High Castle â the most horrifying thing Republican insiders could imagine was a Ted Cruz nomination. In much the same way that Trump has set the terms of the presidential debate in ways that discomfited the partyâs leadership and fired up the base, Cruz did the same in Washington. The intense loathing Cruz inspired among every professional Republican politician not named Ted Cruz made his nomination difficult to fathom. But the rise of Trump has changed many things, and one of them may be to grant Republican insiders a new perspective on just what unacceptable means.
The centrality of Trump has framed the Republican campaign as a binary question of Trump against whichever contender emerges as the non-Trump. Instead, the race may well be condensing into a three-way contest between Trump, Marco Rubio, and Cruz. Ben Carson, who has previously absorbed a large share of the Evangelical vote, has swiftly declined, allowing Cruz to rise into the top tier. One recent poll had him leading in Iowa, though others have shown Trump still ahead...

Jeez, if you think Trump is the DARLING of Fox News, you’ve consumed too much adult beverage today.
I could only wish I made that impression as well. I think I come across as more of a grouchy old a-hole instead.
Other politicians say what you want to hear. TED CRUZ tells you the TRUTH!
Nobody said he’s the “darling”, but he’s getting all the coverage. If Rubio was the “darling” he’d be on some FOX News show EVERY NIGHT instead of Trump.
Iowa-based radio host Steve Deace endorsed Cruz in August. and Loras Schulte, was so moved by Cruz that he resigned from his seat and endorsed for the first time in 16 years......Dozens of conservative ministers and gun rights activists have signed on with Cruz in recent weeks.
GOPe wants to use Cruz to knockout Trump. Then they will knock out Cruz. He’ll be easier to cheat at the convention since he doesn’t drag around millions of diehard warriors with him.
Did you select me at random to opine or am I something more sinister?
Donald Trump can’t take critism, especially from our long time allied Israel.
Donald Trump has trown BiBi and Israel under the bus.
Donald Trump is not fit to be president.
Must be getting senile in his old age.
The time is getting short Iowa is not to far away and the time of choosing is now.
Those sitting on the fence between Trump or Cruz or has CRUZ as their 2nd choice won’t be able to have Cruz as their 2nd choice if and when Trump goes 3rd party..... Something to consider.
Now is the time of choosing, its either Ted Cruz or Donald Trump.
I still have mine...lol
Now is the time of choosing, it’s either Ted Cruz or Donald Trump.

I support Ted Cruz. But I would have absolutely ZERO hesitation in eagerly supporting Donald Trump should he prevail. And, with near certainty, I can say that if Cruz does not get enough delegates to get the nomination MOST of his delegation would go to support Trump and possibly be the difference between Trump getting the nomination versus some compliant RINO engineered by the GOPe and the RNC.
Cruz supporters should not attack Trump & Trump supporters should not attack Cruz IMHO — the GOPe would like nothing more than such battling to come about.
2nd Division ?
Would not be surprised at all if there was already campaign infighting between Trump and his staff and camapign infighting among his staff.
His ego might not allow him to listen to his campaign staff at a certain point.
Watch his staff start quitting Trump’s campaign in droves.
Correct me if I am wrong 2nd Division Vet,
but wasn’t it early on in the TRUMP campaign that Rodger Stone made some kind of comment that Trump refuses to pay for reliable polls and focus groups ? What is the clarification on that ?
Is this commemt true of what Rodger Stone said ?
Like the way you think
LOLOL.
Love the replies others have made to you, regarding your ‘Trump can’t make solid decisions’ comment.
Trumpanzee Brown Shirts?? FR Jewish Mafia???
Hmmmm, interesting post.
Project much?
I haven’t made that comment or received any posts directed to it.
Otherwise, Trump is too ruled by his emotions and ego to be counted on to make solid decisions.
His emotions have so clouded his judgment that he has failed at everything he has done in his business career.
Yah! Right! His judgment is world class. Not only is he dominating in the US but he is now kicking the world media’s ass.
His emotions are just fine!
