California governor criticizes âwide openâ Nevada, Arizona.
LE BOURGET, France â Gov. Jerry Brown said Saturday that âwide openâ gun laws in Nevada and Arizona are a âgigantic back door through which any terrorist can walk,â while he was noncommittal on efforts to strengthen gun control measures in California.
Brown, arriving in France for climate talks after the mass shooting in San Bernardino last week, called the shooting a terrorist attack.
The guns used were purchased legally in California before being modified, authorities have said.
Asked if stricter gun control laws were warranted, as some activists have argued, the fourth-term Democrat replied, âCalifornia has some of the toughest gun control laws of any state. And Nevada and Arizona are wide open, so thatâs a gigantic back door through which any terrorist can walk.â
âItâs an important topic, this is an important forumwant to make sure I did that,â Brown said. âAt the same time, I donât minimize the significance o, California has a role to play, and If this terrorist attack. ⦠Itâs a very clear indication that this is a global phenomenon and that people who are committed to this jihadist doctrine are going to be killing people in very unexpected places. So we have to be, as I said, we have to be on our guard and we have to do whatever we can do.â
Brown said terrorism is a more difficult problem to address than climate change because âwe know what to do about climate change.â(continued)

The real back door is the US Mexico border. Where do you think most of those illegal drugs you can buy on any street corner come from?
“Brown said terrorism is a more difficult problem to address than climate change because ââ¬Åwe know what to do about climate change”
Only if you are a committed leftist with false assumptions about reality.
I hope the Democrats run on Climate Change and Gun Control.
All the evidence indicates none of the weapons were purchased outside of California.
Is Brown saying the Muslim terrorists from California purchased their guns outside of the state?
Clinton makes gun control a defining cause

Rather than admitting to and owning a mistake, taking blame and it's consequences, then learning from those poor choice and correcting future behavior/decision-making (read as: "becoming a rational adult"), they mostly assume the role of the archetypal victim and blame everyone else for their shortcomings.
Grow the eff up.
Yeah and all CA’s gun free zones are welcome mats for terrorists.
Just like they are for "Global Warming", right, Guvnor?
But the attack didn’t occur in those states did it?
The gun free zone is the appeal.
How many CA health workers armed at office parties?
Maybe he should...
...build a fence? Or even a wall? Brown is unwittingly making the case for territorial integrity and enforced borders.
The guns used were purchased legally in California
California is a state-wide ‘gun free zone’.
(Not quite, but so much more than many other state.)
Maybe he should build a wall around Kalifornia.
Muslim terrorists (or any others, if there are ever any others?) like to “hit” the softest, safest possible targets.. where they can kill the most Christians and Jews and other innocent people (and even have a chance of getting away). Where better than California (with all its onerous, unconstitutional, restrictive firearms laws and regs) ....and at a disabled-treatment center (or schoolhouse or other facility where there are many people who cannot defend themselves well.......AND wherer both the State and the facility itself have anti-firearms regulations. Wheee! Its an open invitation to a big Shoot-Em-Up Party for Allah! Boom Boom Boom! Bang Bang Bang! California’s the place!
Jerry, your state’s gun regs create, just turn California into one giant OPEN-SEASON FREE-SOFT-TARGET for the IslamoNazi murder gangs... including especially all California school houses, hospitals, children’s homes, shopping centers, etc. and etc. ..... Hundreds and hundreds of COME-AND-BLOW-US-UP safe targets for the Muslims (and any others) to “enjoy”
our state’s anti-firearms policies set the stage and issue what amounts to an Open Invitation to the terrorists, Jerry. Repeal your silly (and unconstutional!!!) firearms laws and let your citizens have free access to the means of self-protection again.
Its not perfect, no solution is. But is is a thousand times better than firearms restrictions/infringements...(which are conter-productive in the extreme). Get rid of them!.... and....
stop criticizing other states....
You’ll notice that the disability-care-facility the Moslems attacked wasn’t in those other states....It wasn’t in AZ or TX or NV, was it? Maybe you should look at the firearms laws in TX or AZ, Jerry? Where the terrorists DIDN”T attack. You’re an intelligent fellow. You care about the people. How about it?
pipe bombs or other IEDs, does it?
= = =
Pictures of those ‘pipe bombs’ looked pretty puny.
Did ANY of them go off?????
I tried to purchase a long gun in AZ as a resident of CA.
AZ Dealers will not sell directly to CA residents.
Rhetorical question: the terrorists got their guns from out of state?
.
There is no great difficulty in purchasing guns in California.
The problems are magazine and model restrictions.
Jerry Brown is a marxist socialist Jesuit, thus fears guns in the possession of good people.
1. The problem is guns, thus demonizing guns instead of jihadis.
2. Anyone who owns a "weapon of war" is a likely terrorist and should be vilified. And watched very, very closely.
3. States with lenient gun laws undermine "good" states with their pro-terrorist laws on guns.
Anyone who thinks Obama is going to "reach out" to middle America, or be conciliatory on profiling...or self-defense...is delusional.
He will be aggressive and insistent that Congress pass Universal Background Checks and adopt gun laws similar to California's.
Oh, and he'll be so sad about another in this endless string of senseless violence.
