Heâs the GOPâs strongest candidate, right? But what if he canât win a single early primary? The Rubio problem no one is talking aboutâyet.
Everybody I know, I mean everybody, thinks Marco Rubio is the strongest Republican candidate. Yes, thereâs a debate about how strong. Some say heâd beat Hillary Clinton, some say that what with some of the extreme positions heâs taken so far in this race, heâd be hard-pressed to do much better than Mitt Romneyâs 206 electoral votes plus maybe his own Florida. So thereâs a debate about that. But there ainât much debate that heâs the, shall we say, least unelectable of the lot.
But hereâs the thing. To win the general, he has to win the primary. And on this count, as things stand, heâs hurting. I mean heâs in big trouble. Ed Kilgore of New York magazine had a post about this earlier this week, but this is worth digging into in more detail.
Start with the first four big racesâIowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada. Rubio is behind in all of them. In three of them, seemingly way behind....

LOL....that one cracks me up, every time.
Ungh. Same about Cruz.
Th real fact is that every one of the Republican Candidates would beat Hillary Clinton. She is the least electable candidate in history.
Geez, EVERY thread?
“Everybody I know, I mean everybody, thinks Marco Rubio is the strongest Republican candidate. “
That there in a nutshell is the problem.
Anyone can see Rubio was DOA from day one.
Everybody I know, I mean everybody, thinks Marco Rubio is the strongest Republican candidate.

Well, then he only knows employees of The Cheap Labor Express.
The citizens who care about the rule of law and the sovereignty of the nation do not want Rubio.
Agreed. Rubio can’t even get ahead in Florida. We don’t want him!
Hey, someone’s got to say it. Rubio, Cruz, and Bush will not win any primaries. Isn’t Cruz still trailing in adopted home state Texas?
What do you mean “adopted” home state?
Yeah, because there have been so many presidents with absolutely no government experience...
Cruz will win the first caucus, guaranteed. You heard it here first.

Hillary will slice up Trump like a chef cutting sushi in a debate. A debate designed and executed to be overwhelming in her favor by the msm. Trump will wing it like he is doing in current debates and come across (to a national electorate) as inexperienced, unprepared and with little knowledge about foreign affairs. As much as I like Trump on his immigration and other national affairs he would lose dramatically to her.
Cruz on the other hand, is the only person with the talent and capability to take her on and make her look like the liar and incompetent she is even with the debate loaded in her favor.
Let’s see, where do we begin... Cruz was born in Canada, later his family moved to Texas. Don’t know about his family, but he’s clearly “adopted” Texas as his American home state. Wow, is that REALLY that difficult?!
2014 sign-up and a Cruz truther. Interesting.
"Despite anything you may hear to the contrary, I do not think she is electable."
Debate skills are one thing; Celebrity, media and attack skills, and pure relationship with voters are something else. Just look at the crowds!
