Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz announced additions to his New Hampshire leadership team, which he says now numbers 107.
The U.S. senator from Texas previously named former U.S. Sen. Bob Smith, Executive Councilor David Wheeler, R-Milford, and former New Hampshire House Speaker William L. O'Brien, R-Mont Vernon, as his state co-chairmen.
The latest roll-out of 66 conservatives comes as Cruz plans a busy weekend of campaigning in New Hampshire.
The list features several prominent conservatives, activists, faith leaders and state and local lawmakers.
It includes former state Sen. Fenton Groen and Rep. Warren Groen of Rochester, Rep. Rick Christie of Goffstown, and Pastors Andrew Dean of Mont Vernon, Ron Moore of Merrimack, Ray Pouliot of Merrimack, and Thomas Peetz of Concord.
Activists Di and Chuck Lothrop of Nashua, and Linda Twombly, former president of the Nashua Federation of Republican Women, also signed onto the Cruz campaign.
Grass roots.
So what sort of groundwork has Donald done? What campaign infrastructure has he put into place? Serious question...no mocking...just curious?
He’s done some, I believe, but nothing like Cruz.
Ted has been a brilliant campaigner.
there is the 66 names. Excellent
ping to the 66
the ground offensive is how obama won first the primaries and then the _residency. I believe this is what Cruz is doing.
Jeb! is depending on his millions in campaign funding giving him the victory.
Trump is depending on his polling to give him the victory.
Getting out the vote on the ground, having locals make the calls to voters will bring victory in the end imo
That’s how Reagan and Carter did it, too.
That’s a ton of people to add. The team of 107 is one Cruzer for every 8500 adults here. Ground game is a good strategy to make sure he’s top three up here.
Ted has a great ground group out there with lots of good people. He’s the dark horse.
