Campaign Rewind: Donald Trump Supported Chris McDaniel Against Thad Cochran
Mississippi Conservative Daily ^ | August 6, 2015

Posted on 08/08/2015 12:33:26 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

With the big Fox News debate tonight, and as we begin to pick our favored candidates for the upcoming presidential campaign, it is noteworthy to point out that, as we announced yesterday, Senator Ted Cruz will be coming to Mississippi next week to campaign and Senator McDaniel will be with him, and that Donald Trump threw his support behind Senator McDaniel last year against Thad Cochran.

I’m going to take your lack of response as a failure to be able to support your original premise that Trump is a Liberal. But thanks for playing. :-)

I’m going to take your lack of response as a failure to be able to support your original premise that Trump is a Liberal.

Then that proves beyond doubt that you are every bit the simpleton your posts prove you to be. I have shown many times that your liberal hero is just that, a liberal. You can ignore it, you can even make moronic statements like you did above, but you have provided no cogent defense of Donald Trump's liberal leanings.

10 things that prove Donald Trump is a liberal.

1. He has been a liberal Democrat most of his adult life, registering as a Republican as recently as 2009.

2. He has contributed generously to some of the most far left democrats in politics including Hillary Clinton (D-NY), Charles Schumer (D-NY), Terry McAuliffe (D-VA) Anthony Weiner (D-NY), Ted Kennedy (D-MA), Harry Reid (D-NV), Governor Ed Rendell (D-PA), California state attorney general Kamala Harris (D-CA), Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel (D-IL), and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

3. Trump is a crony capitalist, explaining his large contributions to democrats as a necessary tool to conducting business. He apparently believes buying the votes of politicians is an acceptable way of doing business.

4. Trump supported the ban on "assault weapons", even though there is no such thing. Far left anti-gun democrats wanted to ban gun ownership completely. Unable to accomplish that goal they created the term "assault weapon" and applied their own definition for the term so they could ban guns based soley on cosmetic appearances.

5. As recently as 2013 Trump praised former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg for "Putting his money where his mouth is" in trying to take guns from law-abiding citizens. Michael Bloomberg has spent tens of millions in his quest to disarm America. And Donald Trump has praised him for it.

6. Trump has been pro-abortion until which time he flirted with running for president. He now claims he no longer is, believe his he said, campaign rhetoric if you will, but his history says otherwise.

7. While he may claim to be an opponent of Obamacare, Trump is an advocate of single-payer socialized healthcare similar to what is in place in Canada. Yes, Trump supports the worst version of socialized healthcare. He has said, "The Canadian plan also helps Canadians live longer and healthier than America. We need, as a nation, to reexamine the single-payer plan, as many individual states are doing. While we work out details of a new single-payer plan, there are a number of ways to make the health care system now in place work more efficiently,"

8. Trump believes in using the eminent domain laws for the taking of private property from US citizens for his personal gain. He proved this when he tried exploiting such laws to take elderly widow Vera Coking's property so he could build a parking lot for limousines. Fortunately, the widow prevailed. He also said he supported the United States Supreme Court's Kelo decision which resulted in the taking of private land from a private party so Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. That family lost their land and to date nothing has been built on it.

9. Trump has said the economy does better under democrat control (we're $18 trillion in debt and climbing thanks to the dems). He also said George W. Bush was the worst president this country has ever had. Worse than the lying rapist Bill Clinton? In the mind of Donald Trump, that answer is apparently YES.

10. Donald Trump is now a registered Republican. But in an interview with CNN's Wolfe Blitzer, Trump said, "I probably identify more as a democrat." His record above makes lends credence to that comment.

You lose.

So, he runs for President, subjects himself to all of the stress of such a campaign, loses business while doing it probably, exposes his family to the pressures of political life, plans to throw the Republican party into disarray and give the WH to Hillary on the promise that the Clintons will throw a business opportunity his way?

Why wouldn’t he save himself the strain, give a boatload of money to Hillary’s campaign and benefit when she takes the WH?

Abe Lincoln 1864 election, National Union Party. Was that a third party?

One more chance: Why do you think a liberal like Donald Trump supported a tea party conservative like McDaniels? Was it because McDaniels is a secret liberal? :-)

No defense to those 10 points that prove Trump a liberal? lol!

I didn't think so.

You're supporting a liberal in a conservative forum. You are a joke.

You cannot answer a simple question which is why nobody pays much attention to your FR posts.

Why do you think if Donald Trump is such a liberal he would support McDaniel’s who is an avowed Tea Party conservative? See how I keep rewording it to try to make it easier for you to answer? :=)

There is a lot you don't hear, like Trumps well-documented liberal past. There is a large contingent of FReepers who see Trump for the liberal he clearly is. And we laugh at those of you who can't or don't admit it, and use this conservative forum to defend their liberal candidate.

It's those same morons who don't understand IT DOESN'T MATTER if he's a liberal!

Why the hell do you think JimRob allowes them to stay?

He "gets it!"

Why Jim allows Trumpets to stay is his business. What I do know is he, like me, supports conservative Ted Cruz for the Republican nomination.

He loves attention - he does anything to be in the public eye.

Is he willing to do the thing he loves most in the world and get paid for it?

I think you and Donald Trump have different definitions of "stress."

What was the magical point in time when there were two "real" parties?

Prior to Feb. 12, 1999.

The National Union Party was what the Republican Party named itself for the national election in 1864.

It was one of only two parties contesting that election, so by definition it could not be a third party.

It was also the incumbent party in power, and the winning party by a 10% margin, so it wasn't even the second party.

It was the first party.

Unless it's Vietnam.

Well, I guess he fought going along with the draft.

The Army rejected him due to a bone spur in his foot. Trump graduated from a military high school.

My uncle lasted 30 days in the Army in 1945. Flat feet.

That's not what people said about Kemp/Dole.

The Ross Perot fiasco (which Donald Trump is champing at the bit to reenact) was based on the whole " Why, there ain't a dime's worth of difference between these Republicrats and Demoblicans!" meme.

They did not reject him: he lobbied them for a deferment.

Let's not play the ridiculous game of pretending that Trump insisted on going and the Army said: "We appreciate your valor and martial desire, but we must insist you stay home!"

He begged his way out of service like every other trust fund kid in his circle.
