That's not what people said about Kemp/Dole.

The Ross Perot fiasco (which Donald Trump is champing at the bit to reenact) was based on the whole " Why, there ain't a dime's worth of difference between these Republicrats and Demoblicans!" meme.

There was a dime’s worth of difference, or more, between the parties, because Bill Clinton was impeached by the Republicans on Dec. 17, 1998. It cost some their political careers in Congress.

On February 12, 1999, the Senate, which is the forerunner of the Uniparty Cartel that is now ensconced in both the House and Senate, would not convict and remove the impeached President even though the President clearly broke the law on numerous counts.

That is the precise point in time when our Republic ended.

We have been pretending ever since that we are a nation of laws.

And even that pretense has been stripped away in the present regime, and the opposition party sits by and applauds like trained seals.

The 1996 election was a throwaway by the GOP to Bill Clinton—after all, we did not know, but apparently they did—that Hillary had the FBI files and more. Some of those whose subsequently spoke out against the Clintons in the 1998-1999 era were destroyed by leaked information.

As for Perot, had not 19% of the people voted for him in 1992, we never would have had the Contract with America and the the GOP winning the House in 1994 for the first time in 40 years.
The GOP was so scared after the 1992 loss they realized they couldn’t pretend anymore.

But this is not 1992. The demographics are not the same 23 years later. But the anger at the DC Cartel Uniparty is palpable. The people realize they are being taken for a ride by DC by both parties.

None of the 17 GOP candidates are perfect messengers. The two best are Cruz and Trump—they are the only ones worth a damn that will fight the entrenched DC insiders.

Conservatives are a minority of the GOP and of the country. The present regime has marginalized conservatives for almost 7 years. We alone won’t elect the next President.

I’m through with voting for squishes.I want someone who fights, and if they are couth or uncouth makes no difference to me.

I want results. And Trump and Cruz are the only two who will deliver as I see it.
