Establishment Candidates Walker, Bush Stumble In GOP Debate
The Huffington Post's Politics ^ | August 6, 2015 | Ryan Grim

Jeb Bush and Scott Walker, two of the leading establishment candidates in the Republican primary, turned in deeply unimpressive performances Thursday evening in the GOP debate, further casting the race for the nomination into uncertainty.

Earlier Thursday, Carly Fiorina, who'd been barred by polling averages from the primetime debate, seized her moment, while Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and casino entertainer Donald Trump commanded the stage later that evening.

Walker, the Wisconsin governor, came off flat, while Bush seemed himself unconvinced by his own lines. "Looks like he wouldn't vote for himself up there," quipped one unaligned GOP operative.

In Bush's closing statement, he asked people to vote for him "whenever the primary is." He meant to nod to the different dates of primaries in different states, but it sounded more like a statement of ultimate ambivalence.

Walker, meanwhile, returned with predictable regularity to his vanquishing of teachers in Wisconsin, which he called "big government union bosses." In his closing argument, he offered humbly, "I'm a guy with a wife and two kids and a Harley."(continued)

“Casino Entertainer”, Cruz, and Fiorina had the best days in the end. Trump, because he stood up to Megyn’s BS. Cruz and Fiorina because of laser like focus in their respective debates. Huffpo has the right names at the top.

I want Walker to succeed. He has been impressive fending off the Labor Unions and their illegal monopolies.
Scott is a naturally low key person,:A Thinking Man’s Do-er”
He needs the right kind of publicists to play up his accomplishments. Educate the rest of the country with one on one comericals.

Oh lands, he’s out to get her, calling her a bimbo. I doubt he will ever go on her show again according to this tweet. He was unhappy the way she played her little “gotcha” game, and rightfully so.

I think Walker did an okay job. They were out to get Trump, Cruz and Walker and that was quite obvious to me.

Another poll with Trump way ahead ...at Time Magazine. The bushwhack by Fox has backfired.

Interesting that Kasich jumped to 3rd place in this poll. Wow, look at those numbers for Trump! Unreal!

Well .. I’m glad to see Carson got a decent score .. but they sure didn’t get it right on Cruz.

Every other report that I’ve read put Cruz right behind Trump.

Well she started it. And she is being ripped to shreds on facebook. tens of thousands of comments on how disgusted folks are over her treatment of Trump. Megyn jumped the shark big time.

Stephen Hayes: Deft handling of the abortion question by @ScottWalker. Restates his view, turns to Planned Parenthood.

Fiorina did good, I expect her to move up, possibly to prime time.

Cruz did well, his stock gets more valuable. Given the GOPE wants him buried, he took his shots.

Carson had a shining moment with no missteps. Definitely gained ground.

Jindal, Paul and Huck made some points.

Walker was a bowl of vanilla when everyone was looking for *flavor*.

Trump was Trump and considering a blind man could see the long knives were out for him, solidified front runner status. We the people are that fed up with media bias.

Losers?
Christy, Graham and Rubio and Perry.

Biggest losers.
“Judy” Bush. Considering the time and deference given him, Bush inspired no one, not even himself. Truly a boy playing in a mans league

Brett Baer and Mike Wallace definitely showing they are not up to the task of moderating a responsible event.

Epic Fail.
Megyn Kelly. To be a mealy mouth snark and then trying to hide behind her gender in the after debate show gave us a look at the real MK.
As someone said “a pretty ugly woman”.

The candidates did what they could with the horrible event FOX ran.
Some shone, some didn’t, some killed their chances.

Let’s deep six her Fox ratings— don’t watch her show anymore. I’ll watch Hannity and maybe Greta but blonde bimbo hurt herself with her unprofessionalism.
