Ron Paul Praises Iran Nuke Deal, Says Critics 'Misinterpreted' It

The Iranian nuclear deal is a big step toward world peace, and Republicans would be praising it if one of their own had negotiated it, former Texas Rep. Ron Paul told Newsmax TV's "The Hard Line."

Paul told host Ed Berliner that the deal echoed Ronald Reagan's deal with the Soviets in the 1980s. Paul's biggest problem with the deal was that the United States had to work under the confines of the United Nations and NATO.

"There's something to be said about moving in the direction of at least talking to people instead of saying, 'All right, you're scoundrels, we'll keep our $100 billion we've taken from you and all options are on the table, like if you don't do what we tell you, we're allowed to use our nuclear weapons against you,'" Paul said. "The tone has been changed. It's to our benefit; it's to the benefit of world peace."(continued)

Just when I’ve all but forgotten about him, he pops up with something so outrageous. World peace? With death to Israel and death to America chants? Really???

So Ron Paul says that the Iran Nuke deal benefits world peace ? <

Because, I'm guessing, the Iran Nuke deal allows Iran to obliterate Israel...and, then, without those damned Jooooooos, world peace would be assured.

Something like that...

How would he know - I thought he was no longer an “insider” and was more interested in leading us to his “save your financial status” web site.

I’d never vote for his son. Apple falling from tree, and all that.

I'll be the only one to take the opposing view. I want to hear what Rand Paul has to say. The reason....I don't understand why Saudi Arabia is our ally. Iran is their sworn enemy. Can't recall any terrorist attacks on the US involving Iran, it's always Saudi involvement.

Maybe the way to stop Saudi mayham is to support their enemies and wonder about their allies.

Just a hypothesis...I really don't know. But I do know the alliances the US has chosen and the battles it has fought have created quite a mess.

The credo of the Libertarian party is “gimme my dope first and then we will talk about something you think is important.”

I liked a lot of his good ideas but his bad ideas were really, really BAD and this is the worst one of all.

This “DEAL” guarantees that Obama will now be able to claim he saved the world so that he has a legacy to claim for the Nobel Peace Prize he received in advance (because he was the world’s first affirmative action President and was black).

That is the reason he “opened the gates of nuclear hell” for you and your children. History will certainly record the destructive damage caused by this President and Neville Chamberlain can quit rolling in his grave and finally go to perpetual sleep with the warm fuzzy thought that Obama now takes his place in history....in spades. (Don’t mind the pun)

Ron Paul is an idiot, and Rand Paul is a McConnell enabler. This is McConnell’s fault for allowing that treasonous legislation requiring a 2/3 vote to over ride the deal. That legislation should never have made it’s way to the senate floor. Treason=McConnell.

P.S. My opinion of Matt Kibbe and Freedom Works cratered after he announced he was joining the Rand Paul campaign.
