If you had to vote in your state primary/caucus today, knowing what you know now about the various declared and probable candidates, who would you vote for? Why? Who would you like to see as the running mate for your preferred candidate? If you could help staff your candidates cabinet and other top appointments, who would you choose? If you could recommend different congressional leaders than we have now, who would they be? And who would you like to see on the Supreme Court and why? And finally, feel free to donate to Free Republic.
I would even prefer Christie to a third Bush.

She’s female. She seems to not be afraid. She can go after Hitlerly. And after 8 years of a Cruz presidency she could be the first woman president ...
How about Washington?
A Cincinatus type who rises to the occasion out of love of Country. Someone who commands respect but doesn’t care if you like him personally or not. Someone who defines the mission and executes.
She's female? That's it? She was also a less-than-successful CEO of HP, with all the layoff and H-1B baggage that comes with that. She failed as a senate candidate. She won't help carry California. But she's female. I guess gender is the only qualification you have for the position; I expect Ted Cruz will have a higher standard.
Cruz/Walker.
Second choice: Walker/Cruz.
Third choice: pray and vote third party.
Palin - Secretary of Energy
Paul - Secretary of Treasury
Perry - Secretary of State
Sheriff Joe Arpaio - Attorney General
Carson - Surgeon General
no one - Secretary of Education, EPA, Labor, HHS, HUD, Homeland Security
I still need names for Defense, Transportation, Interior, Agriculture, Commerce, and Veterans Affairs
We have a lot of good people for Defense, but we need someone who will cut DOD by about 30% with an emphasis on maintaining combat effectiveness and readiness. I don’t see the need for an empire builder in the other open positions, just someone who will cut their departments down to size.

There are a millions of low information voters who are not going to become high information voters just because we run people who can make their case well. We have to realize that on election day there will be at least as many (probably more) low information voters than there are informed ones. Unfortunately.

Securing the border is my #1 issue and will ultimately determine who I vote for, so that leaves Trump on my potential list.

I wasn't aware that we had to take our lead from the Democrats in choosing our vice-presidents.

I am not disagreeing with you that having both genders on the ticket wouldn't be a plus. Then why not pair Cruz up with a successful woman candidate? Martinez of New Mexico or Fallin of Oklahoma? Women with a successful track record of winning elections, governing states, and implementing conservative policies. Fiorina has none of that and, as I said, brings nothing to the ticket.
I don’t disagree with that.
Regarding who should be in charge, I’d ask the House Freedom Council who they could work with who knows the rules back to front and isn’t in danger of having their district offices stormed by angry constituents.
