I wouldn't say it is the only qualification I would have, but yeah.... female is a plus. Having a female on the ticket is a plus. We have to elect people who could be leaders, but we also have to run people that can draw votes. That's just my opinion.
There are a millions of low information voters who are not going to become high information voters just because we run people who can make their case well. We have to realize that on election day there will be at least as many (probably more) low information voters than there are informed ones. Unfortunately.

I am not disagreeing with you that having both genders on the ticket wouldn't be a plus. Then why not pair Cruz up with a successful woman candidate? Martinez of New Mexico or Fallin of Oklahoma? Women with a successful track record of winning elections, governing states, and implementing conservative policies. Fiorina has none of that and, as I said, brings nothing to the ticket.

Because we know how independent and liberal women flocked to Sarah Palin, Democrat blacks to Herman Cain and Ben Carson, etc. /S
