The GOP circus is no laughing matter: One of these clowns could actually win it all
Salon ^ | June 8, 2015 | Bob Cesca

A lot can happen between now and Election Day -- and with no GOP adult in the room, that's a frightening thought.

There was a time when the well-worn “clown car” description of the Republican presidential primary field wasn’t so on-the-nose. But as of right now, not even a few months into the process, it’s impossible to avoid daily news items in which one GOP candidate or another is self-immolating with ludicrous remarks or unforced errors. Frankly, it’d be really fun to observe if it weren’t for a nagging sense of danger. We’ll circle back to that.

Meanwhile, Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., on Friday contributed a fantastic example of the politically deficient nature of the current batch of hacks and frauds running for president on the GOP side. Speaking about the political hot potato of Iraq, Rubio described how he, as president, would approach continued U.S. involvement there: “It’s not nation-building. We are assisting them in building their nation.” Yes, assisting in the building of a nation is distinct from nation-building, according to Rubio.

Clearly, inside the Rubio campaign (for president!), this is totally acceptable. To everyone else, however, it sounds like the Sphinx character from the 1999 Ben Stiller superhero movie “Mystery Men.” As the wise sage of the superhero team, the Sphinx spoke in seemingly profound chunks of wisdom, but he’d merely reverse the first half of each maxim to construct the second half. For example: “He who questions training only trains himself at asking questions”; “When you doubt your powers, you give power to your doubts”; and, “When you care what is outside, what is inside cares for you.” Adding: “It’s not nation-building. We are assisting them in building their nation.”(continued)

Usually when the Democrats are confident they don’t resort to the name-calling so early in a campaign cycle. Make no mistake they’re scared to death of losing. They know Hillary is imploding every day despite their efforts to revive and protect her campaign, and they know it’s a short bench after her. So expect the clown references to increase in frequency especially as we head into the fall of this year and early winter next year.

Oh ,oh Bobby Cesca got some new crayons and he is in the corner alternating between masturbating to a picture of Hillary holding her Blackberry and writing one liners for Saloon Magazine on pieces of tapioca smeared kleenex.

Add to that list of lefty clowns some old retreads like Al Ozone Gore, and John Lurch Kerry. When Hillary implodes these guys will get a second look because of that laughable bench of Dems. Yeah, the desperation of the Democratic Party will soon be apparent, and that is definitely something to laugh about!

I give you the man who ..hasn't the faintest idea of how to solve the country's problems. These guys are afraid to take a position on anything but Obama.

We need 'position papers' on what each thinks are the important issues.

“In the eyes of the left, even Lindsey Graham is an extremist right winger.

Think about that.”

yes, but that is only because Lindsey has an R by her name.

Sigh. Salon provides further proof that it is indeed the home of the criminally insane homosexuals.

To tell you the truth the thought of some of these guys becoming president scares me, too.

Marco is not in my top 3, but there is a distinction between being the builder as compared to one who is helpful to the builder.

And who is riding the donkey car?

Hillary...arguably most corrupt candidate running for president.

Bernie Sanders - Declared socialist..wants to bring us down to the level of other socialist countries.

O’Malley - will create Baltimores everywhere.

“This is how many of them think”

There is an advantage to having so many candidates...

The left-wing Media can’t possibly target them all for ridicule, without looking ridiculous themselves.

With so many targets, they risk elevating an unexpected candidate, if they focus on driving down the favorables of another.

Remember, the libs in the media don’t actually DEBATE. they would lose if they did that, so they rely on RIDICULE and snarl to do it for them now.

The kind of mind that quotes "Mystery Men" is not one to take seriously.

The Democrats have exactly one clown in their car...

The Republicans should just call Clinton a felon. If they are clowns, then she is a felon. Where is her orange jumpsuit?

These guys love to hear the sound of their own voice. There must be a more precise term, but let’s call it oral narcissism. But all the high sounding words in the world cannot distract from his political/social/moral/religious views:

that putting a man’s penis in another man’s anus is an act of love

that buying and selling human beings (surrogate child birth and adoption usually by homosexuals) is morally justifiable

that murdering the unborn is morally justifiable

that imposing his religious/moral world view on others by force of law is morally justifiable

that what a person works for is not really his and should be equally shared with everyone regardless of how hard or smart everyone else works

that people who do not share his views must be silenced by any means necessary and reasoned debate is not an option

I’ve got news for people like Bob Sesca: there are many of us who do NOT share his world view and will never surrender our liberty and allow him to remake our world into his imaginary utopia. We will happily die first. But if possible we will try to persuade nuts like him to rethink his views because our GOAL is not to die for liberty but to make the enemies of liberty die for their goals.

And that is what is about to happen on a very big scale because neither side is apparently willing to back down. If that scares people like Sesca, so be it. He should be scared.

With the Supreme’s ruling on so-called gay marriage and Obamacare, and with a presidential election around the corner, we are about to reach a tipping point either way.
