Heres how you profile Ann Coulter by the numbers. Job well done, Daily Beast!
Lloyd Groves new piece has it all multiple Ted Kennedy cracks, a sexy description of what shes wearing, provocative but not too serious conversation about immigration, and finally an Adolf Hitler kicker.
Here are the highlights!
Ann Coulter arrives. The Daily Beast swoons:
She wears tight, seemingly painted-on jeans, a hint of midriff showing beneath her blouse; at 53, she still rocks that Vixen of the Right thing that once prompted Playboy to ask her to take it all off. In a rare display of caution, she declined.
Requisite denial that her act is mere right-wing performance art:
I dont know why liberals find this idea about me comfortable . I have summer-camp friendswho, when they see people say this is just an act, she doesnt really believe itthey would write indignant letters and say, No. She would march up to me on the hiking trail and explain that Nixon was being lied about.
Her new (topic of latest book goes here) book is about how everything is Ted Kennedys fault:
(It was) an evil-genius plan to change the country. Obama never could have been elected in this country but for Teddy Kennedys immigration act. Never, never, ever, ever!
In order to change this country to one more favorable to crazy liberal policies, Democrats passedand Republicans were hoodwinked into passingthis crazy 1965 immigration law that has changed the country in shocking and dramatic ways This has been our law for 50 years now, and I blame the Republicans for idiotically continuing it. As for these idiot Tea Partiers or whichever conservatives are idol-worshipping Ronald Reagan, he was great for his time, but it was a different world. I dont think hes going down as the greatest president when he signed an amnesty law.
She hates immigrants but is really a sweet person under it all:
(Coulter, however, is unfailingly friendly to our waiter, who identifies himself as Luis, an immigrant from Ecuador who came here 10 years ago and is working his way toward U.S. Citizenship.)
Dubious, hateful provocative claim about race:
Hispanic groups will move into neighborhoods and say, we dont want any blacks here, and start physically attacking blacks. Its kind of wild. In most race relations, its never blacks who are victims of terror, its whites. Now blacks are being terrorized.
She loves black comedians!
They are so important culturally in AmericaI mean the humor, the actors they have the comedians and the music. I love Dave Chapelle, and my close personal friend Sherrod Small. I love Eddie Murphy, although he doesnt do anything anymore. And Chris Rock.
Even the wingnuts arent conservative enough:
Meanwhile, Coulter blasts the current crop of Republican presidential hopefulswith the exception of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walkeras bozos and morons, and heaps special contempt on Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (whom she accuses of favoring amnesty) and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who lately pays lip-service to tough policies, Coulter says, but I dont trust him.
End on a Hitler line, which is actually praise of Mitt Romney and, yes, an attack on Teddy Kennedy!
Look, if (Romney) had to be Adolf Hitler but managed to take out Teddy, I would salute him to end that menace.
Let’s see. Trust Ted Cruz or trust Ann Coulter. Hmmm.
Not a difficult decision.
Cruz will get my vote. Coulter can get me a sandwich.
Unfortunately there are still nominal conservatives on board with the lib. Sad but true.
Amen! I'm sick of her schtick............Unfortunately she's the current poster-chick and "go to" broad when FOX wants "unbiased" criticism of our GOP hopefuls..........
Just curious, does she actually have a job or does she survive on the revenues from her dwindling book sales and appearances on FOX to pay her bills?
You have this bad habit of injecting uncomfortable facts into the chosen narrative... CLEARLY the Severe conservative seated in front of Satan was laughing as his masterstroke of hard right legislation came to fruition.
Or not.
Let me guess, she doesn’t support your candidate?
Far as I can tell she gets it right most time on most things. She may not like Cruz but even I don’t like certain things about him (like his vote the other day to allow Obama fast track powers).
Ann is Ann, just like you are you. Neither perfect.
What the devil is it with Coulter and her fixation on Romney?
When you bring someone like Ben Carson (Herman Cain 2.0) into a discussion of presidential politics, you don’t really help your argument.
I call them as I see them. I am not a robot of any candidate. Just check how your candidate voted on TPP and get back to me.
I’ve been through it twice, plus my mother.
Liberals flock together. Both support homos and Ann has lots of gay friends. Pick one.
If people voted for Romney, they have ZERO excuse to complain about Cruz on ANY issue.
I’ve always regarded myself as a Ronald Reagan conservative, but if hating the author who is trying to warn the nation of its impending doom through immigration is a conservative position, then I must be a liberal.
On Memorial Day, our Mormon neighbors had their flag at half-staff, the only genuine flag-related observation by others as I drove looking throughout our town.
“Requisite denial that her act is mere right-wing performance art”
This is one point where I would have to agree with the left. I honestly don’t think Coulter believes a lot of the stuff she says specifically to get people’s goats, so to speak. She’s a smart woman, and can debate quite well when she wishes to do so. But stirring the hornet’s nest is a much better way to get the spotlight and keep it, not to mention sell books.
Just MHO, of course.
When that author supports a man that hired his own illegals to work in his own house, her devotion to her subject matter leaves a lot to be desired don’t you think? Clearly she has a conflict of interest here that is not deniable.
Thanks for your picture but I don’t get your point........
Because genuinely nice people give 5 figures and sign laws to help kill babies.
....jumped the shark, certifiable, a brick shy of a load...
Take your pick.
Romney in my opinion was the worst candidate in 2012. Newt & Cain were much more dynamic and interesting candidates. However against Muslim raised socialist and community organizer Obama, I would have walked over shards of glass to vote for the local dog catcher.
