Jade Helm 15, a large-scale military operation conducted by U.S. Army Special Operations Command and service members from the militarys four branches, scheduled to take place in several states between July 15 and September 15, 2015, has elicited a firestorm of criticism. Many have gone so far as to claim the exercises are a prelude to the imposition of martial law, especially in Texas, one of the states designated as hostile territory. However, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) puts the issue in the proper perspective, noting why its reasonable that Americans would be concerned about the operation.

I like Gohmert, but the concerns he outlined in his letter seemed to be more about semantics than the substance of these domestic military operations. He is concerned that portions of the country have been deemed hostile, and indeed that is disturbing terminology, but he seems to avoid demanding to know what is really going on. Americans want to be reassured about the validity, need and oversight for such sinister appearing operations and that our freedoms and liberty will not be violated. Somebody needs to publically address these concerns.
It is impossible to be 60 years old and trust the Government.
They lie when the truth would be easier.
We all need to get off our high horses and bow to Obama and Islam. Then everything will be hunky-dory. /sarc
I’m in my 40s and don’t trust the government.
“the problem” with it?
I can’t understand how leftists would think we WOULDN’T have a problem with it.
They, following their belief system and agenda, have designated population centers that don’t support their ideology as “hostile” in a military exercise.
WTF!! (and I don’t use that language anymore!)
Nothing says stop this kind of expression of federal power like the American people hitting back and saying, the real power is in the hands of the American people when they act to stop this insanity!
“Somebody needs to publically address these concerns.”
Why? Conspiracy theorists won’t be reassured by that. So why bother?
So everybody get an orange arm band.
Hey, why not? We're already doing it now. So long as we continue to CONSENT by paying taxes, submitting to the federal reserve system and so forth, this is precisely what we are doing. In all honesty, we should be ashamed of ourselves.
If you want to designate a "hostile" territory, I would start with New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and California.
At this point, what I’d really like to hear are the opinions of those military personnel involved in these exercises. Not generals, but senior enlisted men. I want to know how these exercises are briefed.
Many ex-mil and LEOs in my neighborhood. We’d just stake a few of ‘em out for the bears and coyotes. GPS the location. Send it to opfor C&C after a few days.
Video: FBI Now Going Door-To-Door Interrogating Americans About Jade Helm Military Exercises: We Follow Up With Anything Like That
According to the federal agents who visited James Casale in Colorado, they are merely trying to gather more information about this Summers military operation from citizens who may have come across information not yet available to the FBI.
This reasoning, of course, is ridiculous, as highlighted by Freedom Fighter Reports:
Since when do the people of America know more about a military drill than the FEDS? Almost never, so why in the world are the FEDS questioning Americans about their knowledge in regards to Jade Helm 15?
Peanut butter works well. Bears really like it.
Just because you can’t satisfy everyone doesn’t mean you shouldn’t make the effort to inform the public. At the risk of stating the obvious, you’ll never make everyone happy. Silence feeds the conspiracy theorists.
Sounds to me like they’re trying to determine who the friends and enemies are.
That’s a reasonable expectation IMO. Unlike dictatorships, we are supposed to be an open society.
Government secrecy, dissembling and spinning seem to be the order of the day in this country. Disturbing to say the least.
Freedom lovers seem to be the enemy. Just saying.
