One of the U.S. Senates most outspoken conservative leaders, Sen. Ted Cruz, officially confirmed today for the Southern Republican Leadership Conference (SRLC) in Oklahoma City in May.
Cruz is the ninth national leader and 2016 presidential candidate to confirm for the conference behind Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, former Sen. Rick Santorum, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Dr. Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, Donald Trump and Ambassador John Bolton.
OKGOP Chairman Dave Weston noted, "Sen. Cruzs recent announcement for president has created quite a buzz among Republican voters. Were excited hell be joining us for the SRLC, as I know primary voters will want to hear what he has to say."
Cruz was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010 and quickly garnered national attention in leading efforts in Congress to defeat Obamacare.
Weston continued, "With the future of Obamacare increasingly in doubt, many have looked to Cruz as the point of the spear in Republican efforts to defeat the presidents signature policy."
The Southern Republican Leadership Conference will be hosted in Oklahoma City on May 21st - 23rd. The "Energy Capital of America", the event promises to be one of the largest attending political events of the year and will end with a 2016 Presidential Straw Poll. Dozens of invites to governors, congressional leaders and other Republican luminaries have been extended, and additional confirmations are expected in the coming days and weeks.
More information on the SRLC is available at www.srlc.gop.

I’m happy enough he is speaking here and showing his loyalties but it Oklahoma and the South don’t win elections.
If he can’t connect with the urbanites it won’t matter how much money he has.
