Before you delete this email, we want to explain something. Youve probably seen this a lot:
Email:
Chipped in to Defeat Harry Reid's Democrats?
NO DONATION
Deadline: 11:59 PM
Suggested Support: $5.00
Let us explain We rely on lots of grassroots conservatives to chip in $5 or more, while the other side is able to pressure Hollywood celebrities and limousine liberals to donate millions. In other words, we need your support or we just cant keep up.
If people donate, it adds up fast, but it only works if everyone does their part.
And according to our records, you havent contributed to defeat Harry Reid this month.
We genuinely appreciate everything youve already done from chipping in when you can to volunteering for our campaigns we truly do. But, right now were simply falling short. The Democrats are outspending us and theyre drowning out our candidates with negative attack ads.
At times like this, we turn to you to make the difference. Its up to you.
So -- can we count on you?
So — can we count on you?

HELL NO! Next question.
Nope. Bye.

Flipping back through the pages of FR I dug this up (posted 9/11/14): What's Going On Here?!
Looks like we're dealing with multiple layers of sleaze here.
Sleaze and collectivism just kinda go together.
Just see my tag line.
Yep..
You noted the info in the post I linked to?
Romney for President Inc., is run by The American Unity Fund, that’s run by Margaret Hoover, a gay rights activist and great-granddaughter of President Herbert Hoover. Her husband is John Avlon, who is Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Beast.. (!)
The American Unity Fund says this about themselves: The mission of American Unity Fund, a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization, is freedom. We are dedicated to advancing the cause of freedom for gay and lesbian Americans by making the conservative case that freedom truly means freedom for everyone.
Gets stinkier and stinkier... ;-)
Yeah, I saw that.
That’s how collectivists roll.
The sad fact is most Tea party backed candidates could not even defeat their RINO opponents in the primaries. Why winning in general would be any easier?
I usually reply and explain why I won’t give them my hard-earned money - their lack of conservatism tells me they aren’t earning the right to ask for my money. I also toss in a couple examples of how they are betraying conservatives while claiming to be for us.
Yup, that's about all that needs to be said on this topic.
As for me, I'm sitting home this November and withholding my vote. It's not like there's an actual Conservative running for office here in the People's Socialist Hell-Hole of Illinois!
Why waste my time?
Thanks for the pep talk - you are right. I was where you are last year and changed my mind after the primaries. John Cornyn isn’t getting my vote in November!
