Democrat Terry McAuliffe is projected to win the Virginia gubernatorial race, defeating Republican nominee Ken Cuccinelli in a surprisingly close victory.
Fox News projected McAuliffe as the winner Tuesday night.
The closely watched raced pitted a Tea Party-backed Republican and an establishment Democrat locked in an expensive, ideological battle whose outcome is expected to set a course for the 2014 and 2016 elections -- in large part forcing the GOP to consider whether a strong conservative candidate is the party’s best pick to win a national election.
Cuccinelli, trailing late by single digits, tried unsuccessfully to use voter dissatisfaction with ObamaCare to stage a come-from-behind victory over the better-funded McAuliffe....

Funny how the close elections ALWAYS seem to go to the Dem.
It's a sad day when all of these groups would prefer a crooked politician, who is under investigation by several grand juries to an honest man fighting for the common man.
I foresee a major scandal in Virginia in the next few years.

That was a symbolic gesture. came too late.
There is some good news—Mark Obenshain holds a narrow lead in the race for attorney general.
VA is now CA with bad weather.
They get every single thing they deserve.
And then some.
The Dems were funding the "Libertarian's" campaign. I am not sure how the illegal Illegal vote came off. Virginia purged a lot of voters a couple weeks ago but LaRaza got involved pretty heavily here so the fraud was probably very high.

What has this country come to?
Real simple why McAuliff won:
1. Northern VA is built & bought with billions of Fed money, taking over more and more northern counties;
2. Dems sent in tons of money from out of state. All spent on lies about Cuccinelli. Someone said the money was 10 - 1.
3. Dems paid to get Sarvis to run as Libertarian and bleed off conservative votes. Smart. Evil - but smart.
4.. Our current gov. really hurt the “conservative” brand, is a RINO, and took personal favors from a VA company CEO bringing on a state scandal, wounding Cuccinelli.
5. Media blames Repubs for gov. shutdown - and most of Nova is gov. employees OR gov. contractors who nurse at the gov. tit.
The real news is the Cuccinelli came so close. He had 5 strikes against him.
But even Fox won’t report that.
If you live in Virginia, might I suggest moving? The state is lost at this point. If my state does not pull its head out of its collective ass in 2014, I am leaving; possibly the country depending on 2016.
