Boy with Friends like Krauthammer, who needs to oppose the Democrats?

Just Roll over like a Puppy, you know because what the Democrats do is "help people"

The old joke is that the Democrats propose to tear down the Washington Monument, and the Republicans respond with a plan to do it in three stages.

Never fails.

KRAUTHAMMER: First of all, Medicare is today looking after the poor...

Jane, you ignorant slut!

Medicaid looks after the poor. Medicare is what Obama's destroying to prop up his Marxist abomination.

I believe Krauthammer is a damned idiot...it most certainly is ‘dishonorable or cowardly’ for ANY Governor to embrace a system that is designed to exterminate the weak and the defenseless.

Folks should be reminded that in the end, it was the Republicans in the U.S. House who funded Obamacare, via the Continuing Resolution.

People need to wake up.

Dredd Scott was the law of the land.
Plessy v Ferguson was the law of the land.
Rose v Wade is the law of the land.

I’d oppose of of them. And Obamacare.

But I guess Chuckie Krauthammer would support all of these things — hey, if its the law of the land, you have to bow and scrape and fall in line, right?

Osama Obama is on record as having CanadaCare as his ultimate dream for this country.Barney Fa....sorry,Frank...is on record as saying that OsamaObamaCare is the first step to CanadaCare. It doesn't take much research to come to understand that CanadaCare gives universal access to long waiting lists for life saving treatments. For example, there's one type of open heart surgery ("Class 3",IIRC) that has a government mandated allowed waiting time of 6 months.SIX months!

Also, the link below tells of how only 59% of patients in Manitoba needing a hip replacement get one within SIX MONTHS! I had a hip replacement a few years ago.ELEVEN BUSINESS DAYS after having called for an appointment for an initial consultation with the orthopedic surgeon I was in the recovery of a major Boston hospital sporting a big scar and a new $17,000 piece of titanium (that's what the hospital billed the insurance company for just the implanted device).

I just thank God every day that no former, present or future President,Federal Court judge or Congresscritter will ever have to wait 6 minutes, let alone 6 months, for a heart operation.

One Example Of CanadaCare

Perhaps not dishonorable or cowardly to embrace Obamacare, but really stupid for any GOP governor to sign up their state for the health care exchanges. The potential cost to state budgets for participating in these exchanges could well be beyond the means of states particularly those whose constitutions mandate a balanced budget.

What is the matter with Krauthammer these days ... has he been drinking Juan Williams liberal kool-aid?

Always remember that Krauthammer is, by his own admission, "not religious".

He sneers at the Bible's creation narrative, by the way.

Therefore, I always take into consideration this fact of no religious moorings when I listen to his ponitifications on anything political or cultural.....and carefully weigh where he's coming from.

This way I'm never surprised at his occasional positions I consider to be based on shifting sand.

"First of all, Medicare is today looking after the poor."

I thought that was the job of medicaid?

Let's see, yep, right there on my PAY STUB is Social Security Tax (which I'm supposed to get back) and Medicare Tax (also in which I'm supposed to get back).

MEDICAID is part of that huge chunk they steal from me every 2 weeks called Federal Income Tax.

And since I won't be seeing a dime from the 1st two I've mentioned, I shall consider that stealing as well.

The kraut can shove his opinions up his derriere. Don't tinkle on my head and tell me it's raining.

I think what I took from the 2012 election was a very long list of people who I used to listen to, who I no longer listen to under any circumstances. Krauthammer is on that list.

What do FReepers think?

I think the level of vitriol directed at Krauthammer here is approaching insanity. He did not defend Obamacare or the Medicaid expansion [God forbid, though, he did misspeak and call it "Medicare". Why, he must be a CRETIN].

He defended the political decision by Scott and Kasich to approve it for their states. He also defended the decisions by other Republican governors to refuse it.

People here are looking desperately for signs of latent Marxism in Krauthammer and revel shamelessly when they think they've found one. It's always a sight to behold.

It’s surprising that as a former psychiatrist Krauthammer seems not to recall and mention the diaster that befell America’s mentally ill back in the sixties and seventies when the federal governemnt put lots of seed money into opening “community mental health clinics” all over the place - these were supposed to pick up the care of the mentally ill especially after many big psychiaric hospitals were closed in an effort to “deinstitutionalize” patients back into less restrictive (and protective) environments closer to home - problem is after a time the feds started to withdraw their contributions and the states didn’t have enough funding to contiue the program except at a very ineffectual level - we could even suggest that, far from resulting from inadequate gun control, the recent wave of mass shootings reflect the lack of mental health facilities brought on by the government’s own policies -and just wait until they start cutting back on the ninety percent Medicaid bait-and-switch funding they’ve promised to suck the states into expanding their services for the poor.......
