America has never had a female major party candidate nominated to be president, but the odds are growing that it will happen in 2016.
The current favorite for the 2016 Democratic nomination is a woman, and there are at least four other potential candidates in both parties.
It isnt that female candidates havent tried. Hillary Clinton came the closest when she lost the Democratic nomination in 2008 to Barack Obama.
Heres a look at the top prospects for 2016, starting with the Democratic frontrunner.
Hillary Clinton
The current Secretary of State is a huge favorite for the 2016 nomination for her party.
Clinton is expected to step down from her cabinet position next year. She would be 68 years old at the time of the 2016 convention.
The big question is if she will pursue the nomination.
Clinton has said in the past that she wasnt interested in a second presidential run. But political watchers believe it will be Clintons decision in about two years to pursue the nomination.
One sign that experts point to was the tireless work of her husband, President Bill Clinton, in the final weeks of the Obama campaign.
The Clintons have collected an impressive amount of political IOUs, so its unclear if anyone in the Democratic Party would contest her nomination if she ran...

Those who want to begin the conditioning.
The article is lame as well.
The candidates mentioned besides Hillary.
Liz Warren. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL, that hag, she’d win 5 states. I am truly mystified as to why she is being mentioned as a POTUS (it started even when she was trailing Brown in the polls)
Condi! RINO.
Palin! Please.
Sussana Martinez. Finally a real one.
Honorable mentions Cathy McMorris Rodgers , Michele Bachmann , Nikki Haley, Kirsten Gillibrand, Amy Klobuchar, and Kelly Ayotte.
Most of those are unlikely. Ayotte, maybe Haley.
I misunderstood you, OP was talking about whether there would be an election not whether it would be “rigged”.
There is always rat fraud (ALWAYS SINCE FOREVER), it can as has been overcome in the past.
Nah, That’s why Hillary retiring from the State Dept. Heading to the Spa for a makeover, face lift etc. She’ll have a little nip tuck, and knock about 15 years off the way she looks.
Heres a look at the top prospects for 2016, starting with the Democratic frontrunner. Hillary Clinton
Don’t be silly. Not only has Obama thrown Hillary under the bus he backed up and ran over her again.
I think Hillary will run. That is exactly why Bill Clinton did what he did for Obama and why Hillary stood by him through the Benghazi mess..they have made a deal with Obama that in exchange he will turn out his voters for her in 2016 (my theory). Will Obama hold up his end of the deal? Well if the economy is good (hahahaha) he will, and it will be a “let’s continue MY good work” campaign theme. If the economy is bad,,,no way he will give Hillary a chance to be elected and do better than he did. I for one think she will run and will NOT get his help, because I do not see the economy being “good”.
HAHAHAHAHA! She was able to snow the dopes in the Commonwealth but that is too be expected. Who dreams this nonsense up??
Why no projectile vomit alert?
Doesn’t Mooochel have that “ape” gene?
Michele Bachmann should do what Thatcher did: Completely change her voice.
I was a fan, but I was turned off when she piled on with the “vulture capitalist” crap.
We can not wait for 2014 and 2016 to regroup and figure out new strategies. By then it will be too late. The Marxist/Muslim usurper will have completed his planned distruction of America.
Thats what people fail to understand.
Col Allen West; I dont want to see America become like Zimbabwe where people dont trust their electoral process. If we cannot trust the integrity of the voting system then we are no longer a free republic.
Col West has opened the door.
Its now up to We The People.
Silence in the face of evil is itself evil.
Not to speak is to speak.
Not to act is to act.

Polls indicated that Romney was going to win the election. The economy is close to Great Depression era conditions, and unemployment is almost as high as when Obama entered office. Economic conditions became so dire after Obama took office it prompted the rise of an entire new movement, the Tea Party.
Presidents rarely win reelection when the economy is in the tank.
So how did Romney lose a race that numerous reputable polls and pundits predicted would be an easy win, based on historical patterns?
Massive voter fraud.
There are massive reports of criminal activity
(not mischief, not shenanigans, as many term the fraud- but CRIMINAL ACTIVITY) going on all over the U.S during the presidential election.
Reports of machines changing votes from Romney to Obama, eyewitness reports of Republican poll watchers who observed busloads of non-English speaking Somalians in Ohio being instructed to vote Obama- the list is endless.

Romney lost because of this, not any other reason.
Nobody could have won against the fraud planned and perpetrated by the Obama Machine.
The evidence is overwhelming!

Elizabeth Warren??? Is this a satire article?
Palin! Please. yes Please
Sarah Palin has a history of being a reformer and taking on powerful interests for the benefit of ordinary people.
Sarah Palin has many years (successful) executive management experience at local, regional and state levels including command of the Alaska National Guard .
She has always been a tough-as-nails executive who understood her role as a servant for the people during her time as Mayor of Wasilla and as Governor; she took on the Republican establishment, big oil, corruption, ethics reform, and tax reform.
In Alaska, Sarah Palin’s top priorities included fiscal restraint, limiting the size of government, resource development, education, equitable oil valuation as well as transportation and infrastructure development. Sarah Palin fought for ethics reform and transparency in government.
She has cut spending, forward-funded education, and paved the way for job growth in her hometown.Sarah Palin has fought to reduce spending and to enforce fiscal discipline as governor of Alaska.
Sarah Palin has drastically reduced the growth of the state budget, which has helped to produce a record budget surplus. She cut spending and vetoed hundreds of millions of dollars in spending, not because times were tough, but because she wanted to keep government small and solvent.
She reformed Alaska’s pension system and used surplus dollars to help pay down underfunded pensions, which reduced Alaska’s liabilities by 34.6 % to help provide analysts at Moody’s with enough confidence to later upgrade Alaska’s credit rating to AAA.She also reduced earmark requests for the state of Alaska by 80% during her administration.
Sarah Palin succeeded to a remarkable extent in settling what had seemed insoluble problems, in the process putting Alaska on a trajectory to financial well-being. This is strong financial management.
Under her leadership, Alaska has invested $5 billion in state savings, reformed education funding, and implemented the Senior Benefits Program, which provides support for low-income Alaskan seniors. Shes also established Alaskas Petroleum Systems Integrity Office to provide oversight and maintenance of oil and gas equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
During Sarah Palins first year in office, three of her administrations major proposed pieces of legislation passedan overhaul of the states ethics laws, a competitive process to construct a natural gas pipeline and a restructuring of Alaskas oil valuation formula.
Sarah Palins business experience comes with the negotiations and dealings she has had with one of the most powerful industries in the world: the energy industry. Sarah Palin has successfully negotiated new tax structures, lease deals and other issues that arise in the Alaska energy industry.
At the end of the day, Sarah Palin negotiated billion dollar deals with one of the toughest industries in the world.
Taking on corruption and crony capitalism has always been a cornerstone of Sarah Palin’s agenda; in Alaska she did take on the old-boy network the oil companies and her own party .
As oil and gas commissioner, Sarah Palin called out the unethical practices of members of her own party.
As Governor, she sought to end the back room deals and improper relationships between oil companies and politicians.
Sarah Palin is past chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, a multistate government agency that promotes the conservation and efficient recovery of domestic oil and natural gas resources while protecting health, safety and the environment.
She also served as chair of the National Governors Association (NGA) Natural Resources Committee, which was charged with pursuing legislation to ensure state needs are considered as federal policy is formulated in the areas of agriculture, energy, environmental protection and natural resource management.
After poring over thousands of emails (24,000+ pages of emails) from Palins term as governor, even the mainstream media has been forced to concede that Palin was a conscientious, transparent, and effective public servant.
For the past four years Sarah Palin has worked tirelessly to fight Obama’s policies and elect conservatives; she basically spearheaded the 2010 victory with her endorsements and rallies all over the country.
There has not been one aspect of Palin’s life and career that has not been chewed over, criticized and lied about by her enemies; she has withstood the slings, barbs, bullets, and arrows that would have fallen a lesser person.
The media hounded her, and her family, on a daily basis, flat out making crap up (like that she, personally, shot wolves from the air). They claimed her baby was not her own; ; used despicable language to attack her, and her family; sent numerous reporters to Wasilla to dig up dirt on her ; AP reporters factchecked her book; her email hacked by the son of a Democrat congressman; political operatives filing endless bogus ethic charges designed to bankrupt a working family with a special need toddler and much more!
The media , Hollywood and the REP establishment have done everything they can to vilify Sarah Palin and her family but despite a massive effort to destroy her, she is still on her feet and making a difference in the political world.
She does not appear interested to me.
She likes the outsider role, campaigning for others.
Clinton and Palin are the only realistic choices on the list. Obama, contrary to the expectations of many here will allow elections. Palin could win if she sticks to her conservative political base and remains, personally, a genuine conservative...I have my doubts if that is possible in Washington today

The most asinine chapter of a lousy depressing primary season.
AND BOOB BELTS FOR ALL!!
When this is the actual photo we should be seeing:
How would she look four years from now?
You don’t have to sell me on Palin. I’m already sold. Fits all three legs of the ‘conservative’ stool, with the addition of anti-crony reform and cultural populism. And a solid history to back it all up. Makes all others look like tired, technocratic “professional” politicians... which they indeed tend to be.
